Halloween vacation Day 2
Day two was a day to do whatever. We decided to go back to Burt's Pumpkin Patch. What's funny is that the point was to bring the Scary Fear plush for photo ops, but we forgot him again like we forgot him the first time. Oh man! Well you know at that point in the parking lot I realized I DON'T like the new plush at all. He's poorly made and I've been calling him "Another pretender to the throne". So he was boxed and thrown in the back of the jeep for the rest of the trip. No travel buddy this time around sadly. But we got a second chance to take videos and photos.

They had rows of this mini Indian corn for sale. I didn't buy any but I loved the purple colors of this group. Third from the Left if my fave.

We drove to the Burnt Mountain over looks. Still not fully Fall. Lots of green. We LOVE that pointy mountain. I wonder what it's called and if you can get up there hiking or driving?

We're too early for the leaves. The kudzu is dying back from the cold.

We were thrilled to find this sticker on the railing. Pinellas county is our neighboring cities across the bay of St. Petersburg and Clearwater. That was so strange to find this in a random, unknown small town like Jasper Georgia. Haha. A little piece of Florida at one of our favorite scenic spots.

The other look out at Burnt Mountain road. We were told by some locals that there is another mountain we could drive to that has a park and nice look outs.

Eagle's Rest Park is at the top of the mountain. Don't know if you can see it in the pic but it says "Stone eagle." Keep that in mind.

At the peak were these cell towers. It's the first time I've been on a Georgia mountain with 5 bars of reception.

So much cell power. I took the opportunity to check my Amazon as I was waiting on a package that was for my Fear costume. It said my gloves were delivered to the mailbox. YAY!

This park had four look out towers at each point. North, South, East and West.

I think this is the north look out. I LOVE how this photo turned out. One of my faves. This is my crappy cell phone btw. The way cameras are now just proves you don't need a bank breaking DSLR to take gorgeous Nat Geo quality pics. Anyone with a decent phone camera can take good photos. Everyone is a photographer now.

And we found the stone eagle. I hadn't read the map so I was wondering why this cute eagle was in the middle of the park. Aww poor thing's all weathered. I'd be happy to volunteer to pain him if the park would let me.

We had had a great two days. Our aunt ordered this little glass ball. She told me it's for taking upside down photos of stuff. So I took a pic of my pumpkin.

And I took a pic of my pill crusher. Apparently this is all the rage amount photographers now. I thought it was amusing but not my thing. I used to take pics like this with water drops. Now there's a challenge. But yes it's cute and fun.

You guys remember my drawing I made last year called Alone In Fear? I drew it while I was at my aunt's house last year and I love the trees and streams there. I drew Fear all relaxed looking at his reflection. Well one thing we did when we got back was take pics and videos of me as Fear. I had no idea this turned out so cool as we tried to recreate the drawing in real life.

Full sized pic https://ic.pics.livejournal.com/thagirion/4865851/132765/132765_original.jpg

Ok that is just amazing to me. I also didn't have my drawing for a ref. I posed from memory. My legs are backwards but still the same pose. Other than the missing parts of the costume I think this is spot on even to the point I think the light rays are coming down from the right. Just insane!!
Chris took a bunch more pics of me as Scary Fear but I think they will require their own journal. So I'll end this post here.

That stone eagle is cute, but he does need a new paint job. I like the glass ball.

I love the real life version of your drawing too. That woods you are in is just so pretty.

I saw something weird today. Mom had seen some cherry trees at a school nearby in bloom when she was driving home from Indiana. She took me over to see them today. They are not supposed to bloom in November.

Yes. I so wanted to paint him. I could write them a letter. Maybe if they say yes that would be a fun reason to go back. The glass ball was fun. I looked it up on amazon today and they're not too expensive.

Thank you. I can't believe how well that turned out. Life immitates art as they say. The woods on that mountain are the prettiest I have seen anywhere.

That's funny. The trees are confused or you might have a short winter. Who knows.

Yes, I do remember that drawing, and your photo this time is really close! Amazing!

That would have been a nice walk to do.

Yes, the glass ball is fun...but then you forget about it. I think your raindrop idea is much better!

What a nice person you are to think of volunteering to repaint that eagle!

And I see you jeep at the lookout. Fancy finding that sticker!

Thank you. I was amazed when Chris showed me the pic and how close it was to my art.
Yeah that's what I think. One of those very amusing things for the moment the it's on a shelf and forgotten.
That or I just wanted an excuse to paint something.
Yes, the Jeep took us to some very fun locations this year.

Good Jeep for doing that. I'm glad you have a good vehicle again.

Haha, you want to paint lots of things?

Forgot to mention the corn. I like that sort of corn! Never grown it myself, just seen it in the co-op.

Georgia is so beautiful. Thanks for sharing the pictures. It always amazes me how the mountains down there are so different - just these rolling, rolling mountains compared to ours.

I love it. I've been to a lot of the states and Georgia is easily one of my faves. Neighboring states just aren't the same. I don't know why. No prob. I love sharing pics of my experience. What are your mountains like? I'd like to see some pics. I'm not used to mountains so I'm always amazed when I see any of them. I love the tropical mountains of Caribbean and Central America best for the green forests on them that are year round.
