Here it is at the base of the purple Sully post. I took this through my window looking down. So nice to be able to get to the window of my room. It looks tiny but most of it is buried underground. I hope it will grow huge. It has new growth already. And while I was planting this I saw a pair of Baltimore Oriels in my tree. I was so happy. I haven't seen one in years. Such bright orange birds. I just stared at them. I didn't have a camera unfortunately.
Then I got to work on the garage.
Lots of progress since last time isn't it? This is what I've done since the last time I posted about this when the boxes were to the ceiling.
And this is the view from the other side.
This is some of the work I did today. I just kept at it and kept at it and at last I made a big enough space for the Jeep.
At last there he is. I'm so proud of myself and I did this all by myself. I'm also amazed that there is room left on both sides so both doors open with no prob. The spare tire has lots of room and the front has room that I can get to the washer and dryer.
This is crazy amount of work. You can see how I still have stupid plates I need to get rid of on the right side. Moving those book shelves was hard. The one on the left too had tons of plates. I had to take them down two by two and put them all on the ground then move the shelves by sliding them around. I had to take the movable shelves out to make it lighter for me and I had to take breaks to catch my breath. Remember I'm not very strong so I have to work slowly and smarter not harder. Don't need to make my back and joints worse than they already are. Notice the wood under the jeep. I have enough ground clearance I can leave those there. Originally that was going to be the frame for the new coop I was going to build but I no longer have chickens so I'm kind of stuck with the wood. I guess new projects will pop up I can use them for. I'm thrilled and so happy with myself right now. This was my New Year's resolution and I have met it.
Now all the junk is in the living room. It's at the point where I can't do much else because either stuff needs to go to donations or it needs to go to the trash. There's no room so until I do that I can't sort through more boxes. Sigh still need to get rid of those stupid Camaro tires too, but still need two or three more hub caps. Funny enough once I get rid of them I still want to buy new tires and wheels for the jeep so this problem will eventually come back to me.
Oh and I got lucky too to have found a seller selling cuttings of Frankie's Red Dragon fruit. It is probably the rarest dragon fruit. It's got orange skin and red flesh and supposed to be one of the sweetest. I'm not sure what that means. I haven't had a super sweet dragon fruit yet but I hope my own home grown ones will be better than what I've had from stores. But yeah can't wait to get this cutting. Ok lastly just for fun.
My Macatoo as a passenger. I took him to JoAnn Fabircs so they could tell me what he's made of if I try to make a new one. Funny enough, I found another one just like him and bought him. But I can't bring myself to tear him apart to reverse engineer him and get the pattern. Well that sucks but yeah I can't do it. They are rare and poor thing. What if I don't learn then I'd have ruined a rare cute toy. I still want the red one.
