Happy Easter
Happy Easter everyone. I hope you all will have a good one. I have no real plans today. It is possible I may get a new chicken coop since things are on sale. I'm also gathering ideas for building a new one in time. When I do I hope to build my best one yet and make it really nice. I know it will take me a few weeks to construct. I've been working with my nepenthes as well. Most have gone back outside. It's time to repot them. I need to take an inventory of all my amorphs too. It's definitely repotting season. I saw a black racer yesterday. They are always a good sign of spring. So pretty and sleek. The birds have picked clean our loquat tree. The crows have been coming to feed on that one everyday. I've also seen lots of baby cranes while driving around.

Happy Easter Des, i hope it will be rich of fun and good surprises :D

Ah that's nice you plan to buy a new chicken coop, will it be made of wood? A black racer? That's great! For now the only plants i have are geraniums and hortensias. I started to plant tomatoes and broad beans in my vegetable garden. I love to work my vegetable garden. Spading the vegetable patch and hoeing the ground are my favourite activities :D

Thanks. Happy Easter to you too.
I'll be buying a cheap one for now. I may try to build one later on and make it good quality. For now they just need something new. Yes it will be made of wood. I LOVE working with wood. I built a pigeon loft years ago. I love tomatoes. They are nice when you can grow them without any problems.

I don't have problems with tomatoes, they are for me the easiest plant to take care. I plan to plant 95-100 tomatoes.

I do. I think it's hard to grow tomatoes in Florida because we have horrible stink bugs and leaf footed bugs that stab them and the plants and destroy everything. They are everywhere and I can't get rid of them. I don't like to spray poison and the chickens don't eat them. Nothing eats them. It's horrible. The hornworms I don't mind because I can control them and raise them into beautiful moths. But those stink and leaf footed bugs I hate with a passion. When we move I hope to build a screened greenhouse so bugs can't get in.

Happy Easter.

I'm sure your chickens will enjoy a new coop. Nice to hear about the plants too. I'm probably not going to put anything in my raised bed this year, but if I can find one, I may put a blue gum eucalyptus herb out by the mailbox. Izzy would enjoy it. Rudy and Nigel used to fight over blue gum eucalyptus leaves the last time I had one in my garden. My Nepenthes has moved out to the front porch for the summer.

We have bluebirds nesting in the bird house this year. One has already hatched. I think it hatched today.

Happy Easter to you too.

Yes they need something better even if it's a cheap temporary one for now. Ah veggies for the budgie sounds good. Congrats on the bluebirds. We have ours on the second clutch now. They had a previous one but I think the crows ate everything as the eggs were all gone one day.

Happy Easter to you as well. I had a nice time, I went to the Art et Métiers, which is about machines including one of the earliest flying machines the Ader Avion III, because my friend wanted to go there for her class project. It's nice that you'll be building a new chicken coop as well as working on the nepenthes. Nice that you saw a black Racer as well as some baby cranes.

Thanks. Happy Easter to you. It's still going here. Oh I like aviation museums. I hope I can find a design I like and make something nice. My plants will be happier outside now. It's nice having these cute black snakes around.

You're welcome and thank you as well. The museum was mostly about mechanics and engines as well as computers and TVs, just a few of the really old airplanes and cars were in a large room and the Avion III is the museum's trademark display. I hardly seen snakes in the wild aside from when I was at camp in Boy Scouts, so it's nice that you have those snakes.

Snakes are quite common down here. The most ones I have seen are black racers, corn snakes and yellow rat snakes.

Happy Easter!

Yep, had a good one, nice and quiet.

You're thinking about a new chicken coop, too? I'm thinking of building one down the bottom because I'm sick of havig the chooks too close to the house. They have eaten out up here and need a new spot.

Ah, your nepenthes are back outside. It must be warming up!

That would be nice to have the birds coming to your loquat tree. I have a baby one in a pot, now.

Baby cranes and black racers: yes, definitely spring!

Thanks. Glad yours was nice too. Oh time for your chickens to have a new one too? Well it is for the better. Yes things are warming up and I'm glad I can start to put plants back outside finally.

Yes, I'd like to repair the chook house down the bottom so they can live down there.

Happy Easter to you too. My Easter was fairly decent, dressed as the Easter Bunny at my workplace ehich was easy money. Building a chicken coop sounds like a nice project and its cool that animals are becoming more active as the weekend progresses.

Ha that's great. Funny you got to be the easter bunny. And paid for it even better. Yeah I'm getting the urge to build something which happens to me every few years. I really enjoy working with wood.
