I'm still here sort of
Just wanted to let you guys know that are only here on my LJ why I have not posted anything. I had appendicitis and went in for surgery Jan 14th. I'm still recovering from that. Chris has been taking good care of me. I posted on DA about it here. http://thagirion.deviantart.com/journal/Was-in-surgery-659026247
I'm doing well. I'm off the medication now but still get pain, dizziness and weakness. I can walk longer now but still have a way to go. I have some good news about the house too but I'll talk about that later. I'm already tired from sitting at the computer so I must return to rest now. Just wanted to let you guys know what was happening.

Thanks. Yes me too. They wanted me walking around the next morning. No way. I couldn't do that. I'm so glad I had my wheelchair from that time my back was really bad. It's been so helpful. Thanks, I'm so sick of being down and in bed. I am doing much better now but can't wait til no pain and things are back to normal. Luckily the new procedure they don't cut you open like in the old days. I only have five small incisions that are still healing up.

It's their way to want 'early ambulation' these days. They don't want blood clots etc.

It IS very lucky you have that wheelchair. I hope as you improve you can exercise more.

I now all about being sick of being in bed! I'm glad you're doing much better now. And you will recover quickly. I hope the pain goes away soon!

Yeah, they used to make a big incision in the old days. I used to see kids in my school walking around after they had their appendix out. Some showed their scars. They had to wait six weeks before they were allowed to lift anything heavy. You probably have a weight limit you can lift for six weeks, too.

Dad had his appendix out just after he left school. He would have been about 18, officially. Really about 22. I wonder if his two later operations were because he had an adhesion? He had to stay in hospital far longer then you, of course.
