New budgie
A budgie hatched today from Optic and Bullet's dad. YAY. The Phage line will hopefully no longer be in peril. But it's not a lacewing. Normal black eyes. Gender to be determined.

Two eggs to go. One is infertile. So Bullet has a half sibling now.

So if you read the story Tropical Terror you've seen a smaller version of my new drawing. Here's a larger one of Fear with his wings in a beautiful setting.

I also made a wingless version so you can see his pose.

I like how he's crouched though I liked the winged one better. But since I made the effort to draw him under his wings he should be seen.

I'm almost done with all the Christmas shopping. Chris knows but I'll be buying him a new monitor. It takes his half an hour to an hour to boot up. It's ridiculous. We can't have that. He missed his morning online time because of this nonsense.

It's cold today. In the 40s. I don't like it. Had to bring in all the plants. There are plants all over the house. My guest bathroom is a jungle again.

I bought some felt pieces and will be remaking one of my Fear plushes into Scary Fear. I really have no idea what I'm doing. I hate sewing but I want a Scary Fear plush really badly and this is the only way. I have some idea so we'll see if he turns out. I already made his eyebrows. Now to figure out how to do the teeth. But I ordered some extra ones in case I mess them up. I can't wait for those to arrive.

Baby Budgie!! It will be genetically skyblue. If it is opaline, you know it will be a girl. The Dad is opaline so he will pass it to all his daughters. That also includes Bullet, and any lacewing sisters. Baby boys will feather as normals, but will carry opaline. Dad bird also carries recessive pied, and possibly dilute since he has a dilute brother. There could be surprises depending on what splits Optic has, but since she's a normal there is no way to know without breeding her, but we know she doesn't have any sex-linked mutations or they would show. 50% chance of yellowface for all babies.

Oh this is great! Thanks for the info. Good to know so I'll be able to tell the gender once it starts to feather. I'm hoping there will be at least one red eye for another lacewing.

Forgot to say. The boys will have a 50% chance of being split to lacewing. Since Dad bird is split, each baby only has a 50% chance of receiving lacewing from him. The girls will show, but you would have to test breed the boys to a lacewing to see if they were split.

Aaaw...a baby budgie! I hope all your budgies grow up healthy and happy.

Cool drawings of Fear. Yes, it's good to see what he looks like without his wings, although they are cool. I love how electricity is sparking out of his finger and thumb claws.

Bah on the cold.

I have done nearly all my Christmas shopping. Just a few things to go, plus some things to make. That's what I have put this week aside for. (Well, the first part of the week, anyway :P)

I have a feeling that your making of Fear into Scary Fear will be cool if it is anything like your last bout of creativity with coloured clay! Like you, I don't like sewing, either. Good luck!

I'm very happy. I have two budgies now.

Thanks. Yeah since I bothered to draw him under them I wanted to show him. Yes it's a neat little thing he's doing unaware.

Christmas was good. I got nearly everything done i had to. A few drawings i have to make for friends still.

He turned out great actually. I'm so thrilled with him.

Yes they are doing well. So cute.
We're still looking into a monitor. Chris didn't like the ones at one store.
