Fear figure
The last two days were great. Chris took two days off so he could play Fallout 4. We went to the midnight release and got it but were too sleepy to play when we got home. The next day went out to breakfast and had a nice time there. I was working on my first clay sculpture. I made a very nice figure of Scary Fear I'm quite proud of. I know he has a lot of flaws still but I think I did great for my first time.

I used a type of clay of clay that glows in the dark for his eyes and teeth. So I was very thrilled about that.

I helped Chris make his characters. I made him and me as Leeanix and he's playing as Leeanix. I also made characters for my game. I made Cope and Caroline. I haven't played much though. The two days off were for him and I most worked on sketches while he gamed. Then we went out to Red Lobster and split the Ultimate Feast. Oh gosh that thing is to die for. It's a small lobster tail, shrimp scampy, battered shrimp and half an Alaskan crab. The crab is my fave. Also I was in a mood for some good lobster because after having gone to Charlie's steakhouse and it being so expensive it was also a huge disappointment. I got this big lobster and it tasted terrible. The butter was bland and I don't know it was gross. I've never had bad lobster. I just said on the spot that the Red Lobster's butter and lobster is better. I'm a cheap date I guess and that's good. I think the lobster at charlie's was $60!!! I could have bought another Fallout game for that. I don't think it's worth it to pay that much for food. Luckily we didn't pay for it though. While the meal at Red Lobster was $30, you get more stuff, you get better quality and that's all you pay for two people (not one)because we split it and we're both always full after that. Way more value for the buck. So that was a very nice dinner date.

Then yesterday we mostly stayed home and gamed. Well I watched him game a little. I actually don't know too much because I'm not paying attention as I want the story to be all new for me.

I drew a lovely pic of Fear though I'm looking forward to coloring.

This is the Victorius tribute. Do a search for Victorius - Dreamchaser. No "o" at the end of Victorius. I have been wanting to draw Fear like this with all the ravens around him. I strongly associate ravens with him the same way I do Thagirion. So the two are similar that way (also being thin and decrepit and causing fear) and sometimes Fear reminds me of Thag. This drawing is already in the coloring stage. I've got the beautiful space background done and have colored two ravens. Or I'm coloring raven #2 right now. That's going to take a long time. Birds have too many feathers. Haha.

I drew this yesterday. I'm loving it. He has raven wings and is very happy about it. He will be high above the earth so you can see the atmosphere and the curve of the ground like you would from an airplane. I can't wait to start inking this one.

Here's an interesting trivia. Ophidius's original concept for his hybrid form was to have black raven wings. I was still thinking along the lines of typical dark demons. But it bothered me that if he was a quetzal why would his wings be black? I wanted to tie him into Eskimo legends of the raven creator/trickster. Lies he made up to make himself look good. But I am glad I went with the green quetzal wings since he has green feathers in two forms. It just didn't make sense and I made the right choice as he's a flamboyant demon. But then I was like, "What do I do with these black wings?" I still wanted to use them. Well Fear comes along and solves that problem. I think they are perfect for him. He's not going to look this way all the time though. Remember his powers are given to him by his victims so in this case someone has a fear of birds and he loved that.

Oh we also took a nice long walk at a park yesterday. The day was lovely. Great weather down here right now. I'm proud of myself because I finally crossed a log I've been wanting to cross the last two times we were there. I didn't fall in the water though it was a bit scary. I got stuck a few times but Chris helped me by holding my hand and I did it. Made it across and then back even though I was super slow. I was prepared for the idea that I would fall in the water though as I wasn't really wearing anything that I didn't care if it got wet. Luckily that didn't happen.

My back started hurting yesterday morning. It's pretty tight and still hurts today. I hope it will pass soon but I was still able to do a lot of stuff yesterday despite that. OH and we forgot to put Bullet away. When we came home she'd pulled all the newspaper out of Optic's cage. It was hanging down like a waterfall. Darn evil budgie! Amazing something so small can cause so much devastation. Haha. I quoted the Far side comic. No wonder. Look who's been loose all day!

The Fear figure's little hair is funny.

ooooh, Bad Bullet. I guess that comic fits.

Yeah it's cute. Really is a nice touch.

That comic is perfect. Tiny budgies are that bad really.

What do you think of the other two drawings?

I want to see them colored. The raven flying directly at the camera in the first picture is funny to me. The first word I thought of was "raaaaar."

Fear with wings looks happy. His little hair is in a cute shape there.

I sent you an email with Mom's and my trip details.

Well I did color one. I will post it after this. In the original cover art that raven has a pink mouth which tells me it's a juvenile. Hee hee. I will color mine all solid black like an adult...or attempt to anyway.

That's the one I colored. He's so happy and lovely there. I love putting his hair in shapes to match his emotions.

I got the email. I'm so excited. I think it will work out.

That is a cool figure of Fear you made. What a cool touch making his eyes and mouth glow. You are very good at sculpture. Very artistic.

People who are scared of birds make me...almost angry. I think they're stupid, anyway. i'm glad Fear isn't scared of them anymore. Good on him! He confronted a fear and won out.

I love that he has raven wings. My ravens have been coming closer recently. Usually they stay far away from humans. I'm glad.

That's nice that you went on that walk. How healthy and what fun to walk that log. Chris is so nice to hold you hand and also to take you.

About meals. I love sea food, too. so, I'm glad that you had such a yummy meal. The Ultimate Feast sounds like too big a meal for one, so good idea to split it and have a meal for half the money each. But, yes, the butter has to be good and the meat. Seafood must be got right. Steak, too, for that matter. The cheaper grades are too tough and stringy.

And that Far Side comic made me laugh. Yes, naughty budgies on the lose can be destructive!

Thank you. I knew that would be great since his eyes glow in my art. I love that about him. Thanks. I think it's very good for my first time. I hope to make another one and try again.

I agree. I have no understanding and sympathy for it either. It's stupid. Birds are lovely. Why would anyone be afraid of them? Few birds are dangerous to humans. I can only think of two; ostrich and cassowary. I'm not afraid of the large eagles. They're too cute even if they have huge claws. I just know how to handle birds.

I think his raven wings are very nice. He looks good in black. I wish we had ravens. We only have crows. I have to go out west to see ravens.

I should post pics of walking on those logs. Was so fun.

Yes the Ultimate Feast is too big for one person. We split it and get a meal for what two meals would have cost. This made up for the bad lobster I had.

That's my fave Far Side comic ever.

I think it might be because they watched the movie The Birds or perhaps had a bird take fright in their arms and flap in their face. Like you, I love birds, and cannot see why anyone would be scared of them. Yes, one must be wary of a cassowary, but I don't live in North Queensland where they are. Emus can rip your stomach open, too, so best to be wary around them, but not actually scared. It's a case of using one's common sense. But most birds are harmless and pretty.

I think you would love our Australian Ravens and Forest ravens. I love the way they fly. so graceful!
