Georgia Day 6
Today turned out to be a busy day. Was hoping for down time but my aunt wanted to take us to these places. I'm very glad we went though and I had a great time. First she drove us to Amicalola State Park which has the highest waterfall east of the Rockies. This park was beautiful. We drove to the top then took the stairs all the way down. I filmed most of the descent with the GoPro on my head.

One thing I'm enjoying doing is taking my figure of Fear and taking pics of him at famous places. Here he is at the Amicalola Falls. This was so neat to walk down all the stairs then walk this bridge over these falls. I love that the streams and creeks in Georgia are brown water that is clear. That is my favorite type of river. Unlike the ugly black water we have in Florida for Fresh water.

She then took us to a little town and there was this store for glass. They have these lovely big glass pumpkins. Gosh I loved the one lying down but you can't see it so well here. I do love to collect glass pumpkins especially gourd shaped ones.

We came home and rested a bit then she took us out again on this cliff side over look. This place was amazing. On a clear day you can see the Atlanta skyline but it was hazy today. Still incredible view and none of the photos we took do it justice of what this drop off is like. Here again is Fear being held over a cliff. He's had a lot to be afraid of on this trip.

Oh and before this we drove into Ellijay and picked up some supplies at the Rite Aid. It's like a Walgreens. I enjoyed that a lot.

Tomorrow we're driving to Chattanooga Tennessee. I get to color a new state. We'll be going to Ruby Falls. The world's largest underground waterfall. I have never been here so this will be great. And Chris has not been here since he was very young. I am a bit worried about him. This was supposed to be an easy relaxing trip but it hasn't been with things getting added to my agenda and no time to recover from all the hiking and excitement. I'll help drive again when we go home. I'll try to put in my four hours at least.

I haven't had a chance to draw though I think about it a lot. I'm starting to miss lots of stuff. I miss Bullet my budgie girl. I miss George. I think about him a lot and want to draw him though I don't know what to have him do. I miss the chicks. I asked Mike to text us a photo because 7 days is a huge amount of growth for chicks and I've missed out on my babies. I really miss gaming. Godzilla came out on Friday for PS4 and we really want it but have not been able to find it. We've only checked Walmarts as there haven't been any Gamestops. So yeah I'm really starting to miss stuff from home. Though this place is beautiful and we kind of don't want to leave I also hope this will be over soon. I want to go home and be in my domain. My own cave. I'm starting to get fed up with people when I go out.

So after getting back from Ruby Falls tomorrow I need to start packing our things to be ready for the next morning. We didn't get to do everything just around the property but I want to do nothing and I hope we can get some peace and quiet on the last half of the day.

What a pretty waterfall. I like the glass pumpkins too especially the one in the lower left of the picture because it looks like it is glowing.

We have a Rite Aid here. We don't go to it often because it is not convenient.

It was beautiful. That is a nice one. Too bad you can see the longer one but Chris got a pic of that one I'll post when I get home.

It's nice having a third choice of pharmacies.

Wow that is a gorgeous waterfall. That's one thing I do miss from Ohio is the lovely falls and forests. That view of the woods below is very nice. Did you notice the line through the trees? I wonder if that's a county's division? The glass pumpkins are gorgeous. I love the blue one. Did you buy any? That sounds so fun about taking Fear everywhere. Anger, well poor guy is probably angry you're leaving him behind hehehe! I hope you have a great time at Ruby Falls. Like I had previously mentioned to you, going there was something I always wanted to do when I'd pass through those states on the way up to Ohio. In fact, I think I still have the travel pamphlet. Ah well, maybe one day I will get there since I do plan on going to Nashville someday in the near future.

Sorry you're getting homesick, but that does happen. A week is usually all I'm good for myself. I guess it just depends on where and what you are doing. Back before I had my own home I didn't care how long I was gone, but now I get a little antsy being away. I always end up missing my pets more than anything.

Enjoy your day and I look forward to hearing about Ruby Falls and seeing pictures!

I have loved all the flowing water in this area. That division is for the power lines. See it on the left? It goes down the cliff and up that next mountain. I wish I could have bought one. The ones I wanted were $30 and $50 more or less.

I've loved taking Fear everywhere. Ha, well if Anger weren't so fat I'd take him out too. Fear fits perfectly in my camera bag's net. I'll have to post a pic of that when I do the locked "Me" post I do at the end of vacation posts. Ruby Falls was awesome. And I brought Fear with me. I'll talk about it tonight. Have to decide what three pics to put up or maybe four. New state for me to color when I get back.

I think it happens more to me because I have lots of pets and I worry about them. But yeah it's been nice but it's time to go home now. I so want to come back because we didn't even get to do everything on the property.

The falls are magnificent! Also the view!

Fear is so funny, haha :)

I love the glass pumpkins, too, especially the lower left one.

And your visit to Ruby Falls will be awesome!

Pity you didn't get time to rest. And missing home is a good thing. You are ready to go back.

It was so nice at this place. Great location to build endurance by climbing the stairs and train for Machu Pichu.

I've had so much fun with Fear. He's so cute.

I'm glad you like the glass pumpkins. That's everyone's fave.

I'm home now. Ruby falls was great but I'm so tired I may not post til tomorrow.

Hmm, Fear on a trip through the USA. Pixar could make a nice Add-Campaign for a sequel based on that idea. I did comment on the pictures on DA, so I will just sum up that I find it pretty spectacular. The waterfall espeically, though Ruby Falls sounds actually even more interesting.

All the domains of us INTJs are quite a prefered place to stay. You do make a home fit your needs and purposes, so in the end everything else might not have that in the end. So, I can understand that just too well.

I guess it is also good that you two then can finally rest a little bit.

Yeah that would be neat if they found what I was doing and liked it. He would be afraid of everything. I'm not officially back on DA yet but I saw some of your comments. I was using it just as a place to link for here. I will announce that I am officially back on DA tomorrow. But now I am home and so glad it's over.

Haha poor Fear, he most certainly did have a ton to be afraid of on this trip. xD Especially since he was clearly terrified by both the Amicalola Falls and the mountains. I suppose he didn't like the idea of possibly falling down the side of the cliff... or ending up in some fast moving water. The glass pumpkins do look very nice.
Desthagirion on July 27th, 2015 09:35 pm (UTC)
Ha yes. I took him to some very "Scary" places. Poor Fear. On a huge mountain and then a huge waterfall. Haha.

I love these kinds of glass pumpkins. I have officially started to collect them since last year.
