Got my Kayak
Well lots of neat stuff has happened. Weds we went out and got my kayak. They didn't have the green one for Chris though so we had to order it. Here is a video.

Though after using my boat he did not like that it does feel like it will tip if you look over the sides and he's considering changing it for the Pelican Boost 100x which they did have in the store. It's a heavier boat but solid green in the color he likes. Mine's 40 lbs and the Boost is 45 lbs. I don't know it's a hard decisions. Ideal I wish he could some how test the Boost before buying it then he'd know for sure. I like that we would have matching kayaks and he could put pontunes on it but I want him to have a boat that he feel comfortable in and that's more important than looks.

I got my luggage in from Staples and it works. I'm so happy. So now all that's left is to fill out the form with the manufacturer and send off the broken one. But I need ink for my printer so I'm waiting on that to arrive in the mail. I'll be glad when all this luggage business is over with. But I have pics to share now of the packing cubes and the bags.

Here they are. Aren't they nice? I love how small they are and I like the colors of both.

Here's what they look like inside. I like all the pockets on the left.

And it opens to a bigger compartment inside.

These are the packing cubes also in our favorite colors.

And laundry bags. They are so soft I was hugging them. Hehe. I like that even these are color coded and easy to tell apart.

I cleaned out my friends list yesterday. Now it's around 21 friends that are mutual. Since no one said they wanted to stay they got cut. They can still watch but well now they can't comment because only those I add back have access to comments.

EDIT: Oh forgot to say I'm considering two names for my boat.

1. The Salty Budgies
2. Tropical Centipede

And I'm leaning towards option two with art of Leeanix. What do you think?

Chris can lift it over his head as you saw. That's pretty cool. But if he gets the Boost I don't think he'll be able as it will be five pounds more. Yeah, I'm small enough to fit though I did have to duck just a little big. Chris could not do it. Also depends on the tides and if the lake level is high or low. Right now it's low. During winter it was flooded all the way to the trails. Yes I can't wait for the second one to come already. And I got some good advice from a pro on youtube already about some of the problems I was having.

Yes those laundry bags will be great. Before I would just bring white garbage bags but this is so much better as they can be washed and are reusable.

Yes, could still do a little more cutting. I had some close friends here but they have not been on for a year. Sad but perhaps time to let them go.

Well budgies are very "me" also but I do think I like Tropical Centipede better and would be nice to Have Leeanix represent that with her standing in a nice pose by the water. Another opposite thing with her and George. She likes tropical stuff while he does not.

So that's what packing cubes are. I'd never heard of them until you posted about them.

I think our kayaks are heavier than 40lbs, and I think yours are tippy because your seats are higher than the ones in ours. Our seats are not comfortable so I use the life vest as a seat cushion for my back, but because we sit down in the boat our weight keeps it from tipping.

Yeah they are little bags where you fold or roll your clothes into to keep the bag organized and save space. Here's a video of someone reviewing the main kinds. I just wish she'd put them in a luggage but she doesn't.

I'd like to see pics of your kayaks. I'm sure some kayaks are much heavier. Depends how the haul is built if they are stable or tippy. I've seen people use the life vest as a seat back. Eventually I do want to get a higher back but I can handle this for now. I like my kayak so far but I want to take it to the ocean where I can practice falling out and really test my limits without being afraid of snakes or alligators. Salt water is actually safer as far as animals go. I didn't want to fall in that lake. There are big gators. And adult male is bigger than my boat.

The luggage is cute. I also like the name Salty Budgie for the boat. I wish I still talked regularly to my buddy in Ohio as he would make you stickers for really cheap and he wouldn't care how many you wanted. He always used to make the pin stripe graphic stickers on my cars. He made me Buzz Lightyear and Hermes. I'd love him to make me my bad cowboy, but I really don't ask him about things like that any more.

What do those packing cubes do? Gosh, I'm really liking that kind of green more and more now that my kitchen is painted that color lol

Oops I read some of the other comments and learned what the cubes are never mind XD I still like the green ones lol

I'm very happy with this luggage. It's perfect for carry on if I ever have to fly. The colors are perfect for us too. Hehe, it's a funny name for a boat but I've decided on Tropical Centipede finally. Oh that's cool you knew someone like that. Would be very helpful.

Hehe, glad you read the other comments. Yes that's a great shade of green. I love it. They'll be helpful with packing up the clothes in the luggage.

Well, I can talk to him and see if he still has the equipment to make stuff. I don't know how much he'll charge now, but at least you won't have to order 500 of them lol Tropical Centipede is a fun name too :) I really liked both names, but when I read your idea about Leeanix I thought that was more suitable too. Do kayaks hold two people ever or are just one person? Are they like a canoe?

Well that's ok for now. I have to make the art which I don't have a clear idea for and I can't seem to draw anything right now anyway. But yeah I'd like to put Leeanix on it and everything I like so budgies and centipedes for sure.

Yes they are called tandem kayaks. The red one I posted on DA that was ugly and huge was a tandem as were the ones we took in St. Thomas. But I prefer my own boat and being in full control.
