Working on stuff and thinking
I'm kind of forcing myself to work on stuff today. I got the flat colors done on George and his bike for frame one. Had to stop working on the background. It's driving me nuts and I don't want to do it anymore. So I'll come back to it. I think all that's left is to add is some street lamps and their glow. Then I get to flatten everything and blur it. Sigh all that work to blur. But if you don't do it right in focus the blur effect wont' work so all that work is unfortunately needed. You can't get lazy and say "no one will notice." So for this next stage I need to add George's shades, lights and colored lines. Once that's done I get to color the victims, their car and special effects. Long way to go and I don't feel like it anymore.

I ordered my Dr. Grant hat yesterday. I can't wait to get it and I hope I ordered the right size. This is very exciting. Hopefully it will ship this Monday. I potted up one of my new hoyas. Doesn't look like much right now but it's so neat how it has fuzzy leaves. I didn't know any would since hoyas are known as the Wax Plant. Well this one isn't waxy. I haven't potted the second one yet because the battery on my drill died. I need to make extra holes in the hanging baskets. Most of the plants I like to grow need well draining conditions so the pot can't retain any water.

I've lost my spare battery for my point and shoot Canon camera. I need to organize my things better. I've always been a very disorganized person. Can't really help that but it's annoying when things like this happen. My driver's licenses was missing for a long time but luckily I finally found that.

I need to write a basic outline for George's Saga. I need to see how everything falls into place as far as a time line and then I can get an idea of how long this book will be. I actually want very few stories in the old west as I'm trying to avoid writing westerns. Though a major battle does take place for Gallemotch back then. But my favorite time period for George is the present. For me he's a modern cowboy and is incomplete unless he has his desert eagles and his motorcycle and a nice city for the back drop. Hum, I know when he got his desert eagles 2006 but I'm not so sure when he got his motorcycle. Hum, I need to figure that out. Perhaps as early as the 1990's. HA, stick with my special year of 1993. Cope and Owen were graduating and just going into college at that time. I love that year for me as that's my high school graduation, got my first car and Jurassic Park came out. Among other neat things. Hum so yes then he probably had his motorcycle before he got his eagles.

But the reason I'm thinking of this stuff too is so that I don't have to repeat descriptions over and over. With each new story you have to assume it's the reader's first time. But if these are all part of one book I don't have to describe him at the start of each story. If they were separate books then yes. So I'm thinking a lot today.

If you get to a good stopping point, then maybe you should let yourself stop, especially if the weather is nice so you can let yourself enjoy it.

I think I will move Pet Plant outside around Easter. I need to get my garden ready, but I think April 1 is when most plants go outside around here.

Yes, I got all the flat colors done so it is a good stopping point. I just don't have the energy and I'd rather be playing with my plants right now.

Oh ok. YIKES Easter is early this year in April. Oh no I should start to decorate now. I had no idea. Guess I'll skip St. Patrick's. I wish Easter was a set date. It should be the third Sunday of April.

But yeah good I'm glad you can put your cute plant out soon. If I get any good cuttings of N. alata I'll send you one since I know you like that cute plant.

Very much a thinking day!

I agree with actipton. I would stop if I didn't feel like doing it, too. The urge will come back. Yes, it's spring time for you and planting time!

Yes I always have a lot on my mind.

I worked a bit yesterday and need to today. I can't listen to the not wanting feeling or I'll never get done. After a year I only have 4 pages done in full color. So I need to stay on it even when I don't feel like it.

I also have such a piece in the works where I need to force myself to work on it. XD But the work pays off later in most of the cases.
I don't have a spare battery for my camera but I managed to nearly loose the charger for it. I found it at a very unusual place later fortunately. :D
I prefer to have everything put in order and I always need to write down check lists for everything, when I don't do that I always have the feeling that I forgot or missed something.

Yeah we all have those that end up being more work than they should have been. Yes it does pay off in the end and we just have to keep at it.

I still haven't found my battery. I'm sure it will turn up eventually when I'm not looking for it. I have a blackhole that follows me and sometimes even huge stuff gets lost that makes no sense.

I hear you on organization, although I tend to really lose things when I put them in sensible locations like coat & shoes in the closet, or my glasses in a case. Yesterday I finally found the power cord to my camera which has been missing for over a month. Of course, it was in the bottom drawer of my desk under some embroidery, all coiled up and tied with a twisty tie. Obviously I put it there when I cleaned up my desk and not in one of the many little piles of stuff I have around here.

HEY good to see you again. How you been doing?

Oh that happens to me a lot. I even have a phrase when I later find those things, "No wonder I couldn't find it. It was where it belonged." That's happened to me a few times.

Hm, I didn't receive a notification for this comment. I'll have to go fiddle with the settings.

That's a great line! Very true for me.

It's nice to be back on LJ. I'm doing better. I wasn't feeling well & my dad was needing a lot more care. It was a hard winter, but thankfully spring is nearly here. :) How are you? I've a lot of catching up to do!

Pfftttbwahaha you lose things too?? Oh lord I'm constantly misplacing things in the house or even in my own purse. Do you know how many times I lay a credit card down in the house and it vanishes? I've lost my cards, wallet, remotes, check book, car keys...and the funny thing is my house isn't cluttered so there's nowhere it'd be hiding under. Things just vanish around here and after a while of frantic searching I find it. I sometimes wonder if the Littles are true creatures sometimes lol Glad I'm not the only one that happens too ;)

It's so annoying. Littles for you. For me it's a black hole that sucks things into another universe until it feels time to spit things back out. One of my phrases when this happens, "The black hole strikes again!" Hum perhaps I need a black hole icon.
badcowboybadcowboy on March 10th, 2015 12:16 am (UTC)
lol yes that would be great! I'd like more icons for here, but need to learn how to make them.
Desthagirion on March 10th, 2015 02:50 am (UTC)
I might make one. Well they are easy to crop and shrink in photoshop. Or you can give me the image you want and I'll make it.
