Writing again
Yesterday was a writing day. I'm happy to have started the story. For now it has the generic name of Gangster Story til I can think of something better. This is one of those that's being written kind of out of order. I wrote the end already as that's what was most important and I had to cover some points before I forgot them. I also wrote the scene where George was hired. I need to decide where this takes place. I know somewhere in the great lakes region. Probably starts in Chicago but won't end there. I also need to make up some random gangsters and name them as well as the names of the two rival families. Funny enough this story isn't really about gangsters. They are just the set up. It's about "Larry" being on the run.

And the edits never end. Today might be an edit day. Some of my older stories need to be fixed as I mentioned characters I didn't know very well. Stats have changed and just small things like that need to be fixed but kept consistent through all stories. The story that comes after Innocence Lost is a major one and I don't think I've read it since 2008. I'm sure it needs major work. So much stuff needs my attention especially if I want George's Saga to be the first book now.

Here is a video of Bullet and Sandwich with their eggs. You can see how mean Bullet is to everyone and everything. But when she's in the nest box her bites don't hurt. If she's outside then it does hurt. When in the cage together Sandwich just gets out of her way. She's the boss.

The weather during the day is so much better. Back in the 80s like I like it. I think I can start putting the plants back outside.

Well I finished watching the series Brain Games and am proud both of what I did right and wrong. I'm not surprised that on the sexes one I tested like a guy. I actually got all the male questions and perhaps one of the female ones. There was a spatial test that showed you shapes and you figure out which shapes make the big one. I got that pretty fast. As for driving directions I prefer to be told names of streets, miles, turn east or west. That was the male answer while the female one was ambiguous like go past the blue house, turn at the bank. WTF? That's stupid. But what bugged me about this ep and Chris also was that we think that a lot of these things aren't sex based but personality. Watching closely it actually seemed a lot of these were questions for SP vs SJ. They were saying men are more competitive while females follow directions better and there was a test where you had to read directions and do stuff. But if you read it all first at the end it said you don't have to do anything just sign your name. Most of the guys wore all the stupid clothes and made all the noises because they wanted to win. Again I don't think that's a guy girl thing. I'm more competitive than Chris because I have Se while he has Si. I so hate it when people make stupid jokes about men or women and even before I knew about personalities I knew that wasn't the reason why. Good ol intuition. So that was a bit annoying that these tests were misdiagnosed when it was really a difference in personality. But over all I liked this series a lot. I'm glad I didn't watch all the eps on my own because the last few it was nice to take the tests with Chris and we both didn't know what would happen. I like how we agreed on stuff 90% of the time and when we didn't one of us was right anyway. That's a complimentary relationship.

I already commented on Bullet and Sandwich on Youtube.

As for driving directions, if I'm familiar with an area give me just the street names, but if I'm not familiar with it give me street names and landmarks. I don't see street names on the signs until I'm right under them, so by then it's too late to tell whoever is driving that they needed to be in the turn lane.

AS for competitiveness, all I can say is that it gets ugly at my house when we play table games because we all want to win regardless of personality.

Yes I know.

When I got to areas I am not familiar with I try to look at google maps as much as I can. Sometimes I have Chris drive me through if I'm going to do it alone.

I can imagine. I've never been into table or board games though.

Something will come up eventually. As I said in one of my journals, I initially give them a work in progress title that basically just says what it is about before it really gets the real thing. But it is good that you have now started with your story about Larry (Name in progress?). Also, it seems to be having a neat theme.

Ah the editing.... yeah, that can be quite time consuming.

Hmm, I would logically orientate myself according to street names. Heck, I wrote myself notes to find certain areas of the city by foot without problems. But I would probably do the same if I was female... it just seems more plausible. So I agree that it is more based on personality rather than gender.

Yeah. Hopefully I can keep at this. Yes Larry is his tentative name for now unless it just happens to stick. I'd like something better but it is a comical name and along the lines of what I need.

I just pulled out the story after Innocence Lost and was reading it. Wow good stuff but it's huge and so much to edit still and add.

Yeah using land marks as directions is just too ambiguous. Very bad way to give directions.

I love the little buzzing or growling noises Bullet makes. Sandwich is quite a pretty budgie. I'm glad Bullet likes him, now. She doing some of the right things eg laying eggs and protecting them, but she does treat them a little roughly. I guess time will tell whether they're fertile or not.

Good on you for doing so well on the spacial test. Weird how you testd like a guy. I guess these tests aren't as clever as they think they are!

And I'm so glad that you and Chris are so compatible :)

That was Sandwich actually. He didn't like me in there and Bullet kept biting him. She makes that sound too when she's mad. It's a cute budgie sound.

Aw thanks.

Oh, okay. It IS a cute budgie sound :)

Love the video. I hear Randy hee hee. That's so cute that Bullet and Sandwich were in the box. I liked how cranky she got though and was making that grumpy sound. I hope the eggs will be ok :(

Thanks. Glad you liked it. Well I think the eggs all died. She has to the end of the week then I'm taking them away to try again. She's so mean to everyone haha.
badcowboybadcowboy on March 10th, 2015 12:17 am (UTC)
Poor eggies. Would they be dead because of her tossing them around or are first clutches usually like that?
Desthagirion on March 10th, 2015 02:51 am (UTC)
Yeah it could be that but I think she didn't turn them like she's supposed to. If they don't get turned enough, I think every hour round the clock, the embryo will stick to the side and die. And that's what these look like.
