2014 Year in Review
Time to see how this year went, post the meme and see how I did on my resolutions.

1. What did you do this past year that you have never done before?

Rock climbed and kayaked. That was new and they were very fun experiences.

2. Did you keep your new years resolutions, and will you make more for next year?

I kept a lot. I think I did better this year than last year. Yes because I'm making goals constantly not just for New Year's.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?

No thank goodness. I don't need to lose any more friends.

4. Did anyone close to you die?

Yes. Chris's grandmother. It is sad she is gone. She was very loved. I also lost several birds this year for different reasons.

5. What new states or countries did you visit. If not new did you travel for fun?

No new states but I went to Nassau, St. Thomas and St. Maarten for the first time. That was our Oct Halloween cruise and it was great. This trip was great and the islands were awesome though I wasn't as pleased with this ship. I liked the service and atmosphere on Oasis better than on Allure. I still can't figure out which trip over all was better as they had such different things that were good and bad.

6. What would you like to have in the new year that you lacked in this past year?

A truck. I NEED a vehicle this year. This year has to be the year already. Also I'd like an awesome telephoto lens or a small lens even for my new camera.

7. What dates from this year remain etched in your mind and why?

I guess that week in Oct for our vacation was the highlight of the year. I don't remember too much else about this year which tells me it wasn't that great of a year. I knew it would be hard to top the awesomeness of 2013.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?

I really have no idea this time. I've done so many cool things but not sure what I'd say was my best. Oh I guess making my Comic. It's very awesome and when I compare to others mine is easily one of the best quality wise.

9. What was your biggest failure?

Not meeting some of my goals like always like doing the fence or my book.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?

Yes. I'm sick right now with food poisoning and my back has been acting up more this year.

11. What was the best thing you bought?

My new Canon EOS 60D camera. I love this camera and still am learning how to use it. I hope I can master it one day.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?

Chris as always for being there to support me and being an awesome husband. Badcowboy for helping me with my bird problem I had. Gamma for knowing how to make right choices. AudeS. Though I have known him since before last year I feel we have become good close friends in this past year. I love the great conversations we have how logical he is and I love the cool gifts he has sent me. They have always made me very happy as far as birthdays and Christmas go. You know you're close to someone when you enjoy giving them things sometimes just because.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled?

Avian and silvolf. Both are on my shit list now. The first for how she acted to my friend and the second of a constant bad attitude. Most of you know the stories but if not ask and I can provide you with more details.

14. Where did most of your money go?

Into my trip. Those are expensive every time. After that into my new camera.

15. What did you get really excited about?

My new camera. I've missed having an SLR.

16. What do you wish you’d done more of?

Writing and art. I seem to never get enough of that done.

17. What do you wish you’d done less of?

Wasting time. DA is a huge distraction though I like it so much. But yes if not for wasting time online I could have done more art.

18. How did you spend Christmas?

At home with a hurt back. But it was nice and I got so many cool things from Chris and all my friends. It's awesome that I have fewer friends now but got more stuff. I got those little talking budgies that repeat what you say. Got a PS4. More giant microbes and lots of cool stuff if you saw my haul post.

19. What was your favorite TV program?

I should remove this question. I don't watch TV.

20. Do you hate anyone now that you didn’t hate this time last year?

There's always someone to hate. It's fun.

21. Did you read any new books. If so which did you like best?

I liked the centipede book Chris got me. It was a fun fast read.

22. What was your greatest musical discovery?

I haven't found an awesome new band since Powerwolf unfortunately. But I did find two new songs I totally love. Digital World by Amaranthd and Land of the Lost by Gormathon.

23. What did you want and get?

My camera. Two actually. Got my big Canon and my Go Pro. This year has been the year of cameras.

24. What did you want and not get?

A big lens.

25. Did you see any new movies this year? And if so which did you like best?

Yes I saw a few movies that were new as far as I had never seen them before. But can't think of any that made me go WOW I LOVE THAT MOVIE.

26. What did you do on your birthday?

Whatever it was must not be to memorable as I need to go look it up. OH!! This was the year we went to Bok Tower Garden. My back was hurting then too and I couldn't stay as long as I would have liked. Sigh. Add another holiday to the list of being sick on holidays this year. But my birthday is also when I got my Gopro Camera which I also love. My birthday is also when I started to officially collect Giant Microbes and I have been hooked ever since.

27. What is one thing that would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?

Having a truck and traveling more.

28. What political issue stirred you the most?

I try to not get stirred up. I don't watch the news. Politics annoys me. Stupid liberals doing bad things as always.

29. Did you meet anyone new you became good friends with?

Yes. Badcowboy. Though I met her last year I don't think we became good friends til this year. I'm slow to trust and accept people which is a good thing but I have enjoyed her company and talking with her. Gamma too as I think her and I bonded this year and I now have her as a very close friend and hope we can meet for real one day.

30. What video game obsessions did you have this year if any?

No new game obsessions sadly. But we got a new PS4 for Christmas and I am playing GTA V again. I hope next year there will be a new game come out that I can obsess over and love like I have in previous years.

31. What hobbies did you improve, start or work more on this year?

I have improved in my art of course. I don't think I have any new ones. Oh wait yes. Photography. I do consider myself a hobbyist now. I wasn't as into it though I always took pics to document things. But now I want to learn more and just capture every awesome event of my travels be it video or still images.

32. Which holiday did you enjoy most this year?

HALLOWEEN!! I think I have come to the realization that Halloween has become my fave now and Easter is my second fave. I love the pumpkins and the spooky stuff. It's just so fun and I love traveling during this time too. Halloween was spent at Sea and it was great.

33. If there's something not by covered by the questions you would like to add about this past year you may do so here. Happy New Year

Yes. Though nothing really aweful happened to me this year I feel 2014 just wasn't as good as 2013. I'm not sure why. But now looking back seems I was more ill this year than last year. Was just hard to top 2013 for the great travels I had that year. And I didn't want last year to end. This year I do want it to end though I'm not sure why. I'm just ready for new official start I guess. I have a good feeling about this year for some reason. Oh and as far as online this year has sucked. Lots of flamewars when there were none in 2013. But as always I kicked everyone's ass and sent them crying to mommy. I think that's where most of the negativity came from this year. Being sick a lot this year is just something for me to over come and I have and it didn't really get in the way of life so I'm proud of myself for that. I'm proud that I handle real problems well and after seeing tons of losers online this year complaining about unimportant things I realize I am so much better than they are and I am thankful for what I have. I do think 2015 will be better in all these aspects. Oh also I'm very happy that this year I not only met my goal of at least 12 new drawings but I far surpassed it. Remember every comic frame of Renegade is it's own major art piece.

Ok now the part I kind of dread. Let's see how I did on resolutions.

* Make a minimum of 12 finished drawings related to my characters. YES
* Get my book out No Again only because I was lazy and haven't finished four pieces of art for it.
* Get an aviary No But this was no longer a priory so I don't see this as a failure. I'm down sizing birds. I don't really need an aviary anymore.
*Write more YES Though I didn't write as much as I would have liked I did write more. I did the story No Longer One which I'm proud of and I'm having second thoughts if Innocence Lost should be my first book out or George's saga.
* Make more money YES. Thank God we did well financially this year and I'm ending with more in my savings this year than last year.
* Travel. Visit one new State and/or Country. YES Our Oct trip I visited two new countries and a new part of the Bahamas.
* Build the Big Aristolochia arbor No This is one I wish I could have done but I can't without someone to help me.
* Build the side fence No Ok this is probably the biggest failure this year I couldn't think of in the quiz. This was the easiest building project. Why didn't we do this?
* Build new Chicken Coop YES This year we got the plastic shed. It's great though I worry the foundation is failing.
* Orangize the garage YES Yes it's pretty much cleaned as far as throwing stuff away we don't need. Badcowboy helped a lot with that. Now things just need to be hosed out and stacked properly.
* Finish tagging journal No. Big failure here
* Back up journal No
* Fix car or get a new one No Priority was traveling so I didn't save up for car stuff.
* Garden more. Get nepenthes population established, establish aristolochia, grow cucurbits, keep place weeded year round etc Sort of I did grow cucurbits but didn't do so great with everything else. Mostly my physical problems kept me form working with my plants or I think I could have done all this.
* Play bass more not just once. No
* Buy silver coins and perhaps my first gold coin Yes This was the year for my first gold coin.

This year had more Yeses than last year so I'm happy I met so many goals. Of course I'd rather have 100% goals met unless I changed my mind like the aviary.

Resolutions for 2015

* Make 12 finished drawings of my own characters
* Finish the fence
* Get my book out. Or at least finish the art for it.
* Write more. Work on George's story.
* Draw and name the rest of the 11 demons
* Buy a truck
* Travel somewhere new (This might not be possible)
* Play more video games. (I don't do this enough)
* Tag and Back up journal
* Grow tomatoes, cucumbers, gourds, sunflowers
* Play bass more
* Collect Giant Microbes

Ok I think that's enough and some fun and easy goals to meet along with some hard ones. And I will edit this to add my art meme to this.

This meme looks fun. :D I should do it myself.

As for all the positive stuff that happened this year, yes the cameras are a great thing to get. So I'm glad that you got new awesome cameras. Photography is very rewarding hobby. Even though I started taking my camera around less, mainly because we haven't traveled much outside of town in a while and my mom "forces" me to take photos of her. Personally I hate taking photos of people, I don't know why. I'm glad that you managed to draw a lot like last year. Your trip definitely sounds like it was a great one. The new microbe collection is awesome. And I'm glad you mentioned me in there twice. :D Fortunately unlike Avian I know about good choices. I hope we manage to meet next year, too. I'm sure that would be an awesome day.

As for the bad things, that does suck about your illnesses. :( Being sick sucks in so many ways so I feel for you. The flame wars this year were very annoying and too plentiful. At least we won. But I'm hoping that next year will be relatively quiet in terms of flames. I would expect one or two single morons, but long flame wars aren't fun at all. But it doesn't seem like there's much of anything to trigger them so that's good. Avian seems to be the cause of half of them (if not more!). And yea, avian and silvolf are both stupid and huge liars. Glad they're gone.

But yes, I hope that next year will be an awesome one. :D And good luck meeting your New Year's resolutions. :) It's nice to see that you met some of them this year.

I'm glad you found this. Yes do this. In fact I was going to post this on DA and tag you. I'll post it later. I'm working on some stuff trying to meet a deadline.

I love how this year has been the year of cameras for me. Oh no you too? What is it with ESFJ mothers and photos of themselves? I hate people in photos too. I think the ruin the shot. I want to see the grand canyon not some ugly person standing in front of it. I just barely made my art goals this year. I used to be terrible and got sick of never doing anything so now I try to make at least 12 and am happy to have so far gone way beyond that. Especially with the comic.

Yes good ridance. I need to make one final mention of my idiot then I'm done with her unless she does something else stupid that involves me directly again. But yes was just telling Badcowboy I want this next year to basically be drama free. And yes for you Avian was a big problem and everything was her fault. She just caused drama all the time and could not be helped no matter what.

Thanks. They are all reasonable goals so I hope I can meet them. I'm so happy I did better with them this year than last.

Congratulations on getting 12 finished drawings of your characters done. That is an achievement!

You also had an awesome holiday.

And you got two really good cameras.

I have a feeling this year will be good for you, too. The one thing that sucked the most for you was tyour illness, I think. I hope you have a much better time this year on that front!

Reading your meme was fun and interesting, btw.

Thanks. Because of my comic I think I really went far beyond that. I should take a count.
The Oct vacation was excellent. Highlight of the year for sure.

I'm glad we both have that feeling. Yes no illness this year please for either of us.

I'm glad you enjoyed that. It's a fun one to do.
