Everglades trip
So work around the house is coming along well. Yesterday I finished the bedroom. The bathrooms are done. Next will be the kitchen which won't stay clean. I got the counter mostly cleared but that's hard because we keep putting stuff on it daily. I'll try to clean my room too. Can't do all of it as that's impossible but I'd like to at least clean my desk and my scanner....eh maybe not the scanner. I just looked at it and I have no idea what to do with it. The front and back patios and then I think that will be all. And then to keep it clean for two weeks.

Well we're leaving a day early. Yesterday I booked a hotel in Ft. Lauderdale. We've been talking about this since 2006 but we want to do another airboat ride in the Everglades. Last time was a disaster. The water level was low even for an airboat and we didn't get far. So we got ripped on that. It was my first time seeing a purple gallinule too and I lost that role of film. Now I have a digital camera and my GoPro. I'm looking forward to getting lots of nice photos and film footage. It will be cool to stay over night in Ft. Lauderdale too. If there's time perhaps we can go to the beach and watch the Saturday cruise ships leave. That would be so cool. So I'm hoping we can do our last trip over again since we didn't get to really do the Everglades right when we were there before.

And yesterday the two gifts I got Chris arrived. I got him a water/beach shoe pair in green and black. His favorite color combination. I'm so glad they fit right. I read the reviews and everyone was saying order a size down as they are too big. So I did. I thought they looked small when I pulled them out and was worried I'd have to return them for the normal size. But he tried them on and they fit though he said still a bit loose. Too bad they don't have a half size but they work. So yay glad I did that right. I like his beach shoes better than mine. Perhaps later I'll get the blue pair for myself. But not now. I've done too much spending and it's all savings from here out. He also got a small joby gorillapod in black and green for his smaller cameras. I love that thing. We are set now on portable tripods. I think the only thing I'm waiting for now is a book on psychology.
EDIT: Shoot I do have to make one more big order. I have to order budgie food. Probably around 30lbs. Sigh it's always something. And Monday's a stupid holiday. I like Columbus he was cool. But the mail shouldn't close because of him.

I'm still gaming and my art has been totally ignored. I NEEEEEED to finish something even if it's a simple piece. But I'm enjoying Fallout NV. I got the jury rigging perk yesterday so finally I can fix my own outfits. I was so worried about that. I think that's a perk you need no matter what kind of character you play. George's out fit looks very cool. I also made Ophidius on my other account. Physically he turned out better than George. Found a mustache that was kinda close but still not the right hair. Had to settle for something close. There is a gaudy business suit I HAVE to get for Ophidius. Hee hee that will be great.

I still need to take pics of all the Halloween stuff. I've been slow about that.

That's nice that you are going to the Everglades. I imagine that you will get great wildlife pictures.

How fast do you go through a 30lb bag of budgie food? It takes me about three months to go through a 5lb bag, but I only have two budgies.

Yes I'm hoping so. I hope the boat won't go so fast that I won't get to see any birds. My two target species this time are purple gallinule and snail kite. I hope I get to see and get pics of those.

I don't know actually. When we run out Chris buys little bags til we can get big bags so I've never kept a real record. I'll write down when I get the order then see how it goes from there. I'm guessing my birds eat things down in two months. It was worse when I had all the pigeons and more.
