Great day. New idea book and things
Today has been great. Chris's plumber friend came over and fixed our leak. He added a new easy to reach valve and also fixed the spigot to the hose. It wasn't too expensive either and he gave us a good price. Then we finally got together with Mike and had lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. Then went to the pet store and bought Bullet some gifts and then to Staples to look for an idea book for me. I have not been happy with the old phoenix one I have had for a while now. If you guys remember it's this one

I never liked those black lines. It ruins the bright colors. I also don't care for the ugly 60's style of it. I was never too pleased. About a month ago I saw a cute ducky one at Staples. I regretted not getting it and worried it would be gone because of Back to School. But we took a chance and went there. I sat on the ground and went through all the notebooks. I was so lucky they had ONE left that was hidden in the back. All the others were sold. It's as though that one hid itself just for me. That rocked. Here are pics.

These are toys I bought for Bullet. Today is her birthday. She doesn't seem to like the shoe and has only nibbled on the big ring thing in the upper left. He's curious about the basketball but hasn't used it. But she watches me when I play with it.

I LOVE this new notebook. Reminds me of a ducky picture book I used to have called The Little Duck. I loved the photos and how they raised the duck from an egg in the incubator. Kind of made a big impact on me as a child and how I wanted to be a bird breeder. I love the Easter/Spring time feel of this too. And Chris got me that cute snake flash drive because they were on sale for only $6. So now I have a snake, a penguin and a macatoo. The macatoo is the hardest to open though.

Then we came home and I wrote a lot. I'm almost done with No Longer One. I really want to finish and finally got unstuck on that part that was hard. But I had a head ache and couldn't be on the computer. So I wrote it in my old idea book and will have to transfer it to word later. Perhaps tomorrow. But despite that I still need to work on some art as I'd like one piece for each of these chapters when I put them up. Though I may not have something for chapter 10 and may just put it up on its own.

Then Mike came over and picked up the pigeon that flew back to the house while he was on vacation. What happened was his uncle purposely let the pigeons out to fly because he thought they were trained. Sigh. So my birds came back. I'm so thankful those two untrained babies didn't get lost as they had never flown. They probably didn't fly far and came back to his coop which means they'll imprint on his place and I can't ever take those back if I wanted to. If I did they'd have to be indoor birds and never fly them again.

So everything that needed to be accomplished was. I'm very happy with how today went.

You had a very good day!

I'm glad the plumber didn't cost too much and that he made improvements to your system.

That's cool that you still got to go out to lunch with Mike.

How lucky to get the last Ducky notebook! I'm glad there was one hidden near the bottom of the pile.

I'm glad you got your story down while you still remembered it, too.

That's a cool flash drive!

And I'm glad the pigeon saga is all cleared up and Mike came over and got his missing pigeons.

Yes so many accomplishments. It was great.
I love my new ducky notebook. I haven't started to transfer stuff yet but will.
Yes just so many good things happened.

That's good you got your hose fixed.

I've seen that basketball toy too, but I never got it for my budgies. Rudy was my only one who really played with toys, and he preferred toys that he could bang around and make a lot of noise with.

The duck notebook is adorable.

Yes that could have been expensive if it had not been found.

Bullet has started to use it. She mostly pulls on the chain but doesn't know it's supposed to go in and out of the basket.

Thanks. I really love it. It's definitely more me.
