GoPro video at Hillsborough State Park
I'm going to try to do better about making more posts here. Last month I think I did well and filled out a lot of the calendar in the side bar. I do keep an eye on that little calendar and like it when the whole thing is nearly filled. I mentioned on DA that I'm going to cut down on posts over there because I'm sick of people only replying there when I post exclusive things here. So if people are actually interested in me and the interesting things I do besides art then they need to talk to me here. Most everyone there has an LJ anyway. I'm pissed at one friend that told me they would comment more here but hasn't kept their word when they used to be one of my most active. I have lost a lot of respect for them.

Other than that things have been going well for the most part. I made my first edited GoPro video. Still not what I would consider my best but I think I am getting better with that camera. Enough I can show stuff now. So check this out.

I'm working on an art trade for gamma_wings. I'm drawing her sky blue budgie Kenty. I'm almost done with the inking. Yesterday I was inking his left wing and the power went out. I had to do it all over again and lost a lot of time. So I did and then I stopped and started messing around on youtube because I just didn't feel like working on art after that. Today I hope to finish the inking at least, perhaps in more of Renegade and try to write. I wrote a very little bit on the story last night.

I got some new sarracenias in the mail yesterday. I got an email from Predatory plants saying they were having 15% off everything in the store for Labor day and they gave me a coupon. So I decided to finally buy some of the Sarrs I really wanted. Well when I went to check out I found out it was on everything but darlingtonia and sarracenia. I ordered anyway because I wanted these plants but wasn't too happy about that when the email said EVERYTHING and there was no fine print. But when I got my box yesterday I found two extra plants in there. One of a totally different species I didn't even order and a lovely one at that. So that makes up for it. I have nothing but good things to say about Pradatory Plants. They have been a great store. All the plants I have ordered from there have been of great quality and sometimes they throw in a freebie like that. I'm quite happy. My Sarracenia collection is starting to grow again. I have them in that pink pool too which will keep them from drying out like they used to in the trays. The water evaporated too quickly and I just couldn't keep up and keep filling that all the time. So now I have S. flava rugellii, S. flava rubicorpora and the extra was S. alata rubicorpora. I love how red those are.

The last two mornings I've been waking up achy in my back and heels. That hasn't happened in a long time and I hope it won't last. I will wonder if this is a mild form of the 3 month Firbo thing I got two years ago and if it's on a two year cycle. Last time I recovered by early Oct and was normal again for months. I hope that will be the case because I so worry about not being healthy on my trip. I have also been feeling very low energy in the mornings even if I eat a big meal. I'm ok by the evening and feel normal by then. There are a lot of activities on our trip and I don't want to miss out on anything, especially things I have booked. LJ is a great tool for logging these kinds of things, keeping records then looking things up you need in the future. Provided you tag things well.

Latte my chicken is doing very well. She seems to have incorporated back into the flock finally. I see her walking with the others and they aren't attacking her so much now. She's actually been next to Leafie and not been chased off. I'm so glad but sometimes she's still on the edge of the flock while the others stay nicely bunched. Hopefully that will change over time.

Oh and going back to plants. I'm very proud of my Nepenthes Khasiana. It's got big lovely pitchers and I think one of them caught a rodent. I'd heard that some of the really big pitchers catch and eat rats but I never thought that would happen with one of mine. I made a video and have to edit that together. It's kind of gross though so I will have a warning if I do put it up. But very cool they can catch large animals. Attenborough mentioned that on Life of Plants.

I've already watched that video on Youtube. That river is really pretty. I need to write about my white water rafting trip from this week, but I'm tired and don't feel like it.

I think the low energy thing you have must have to do with the fibro, because I have it too even though I haven't been officially diagnosed with fibro. I had fatigue and low energy before I ever had any pain.

Yes but you can't comment there :P Yes it was really nice. I have never done white water rafting.

I hope that's all it is and that it will pass soon for a long time. Sucks you might have it too.

I would love t if you posted more here as I don't go on dA. I find people are just so much nicer on here than any other site.

Loved the video. It was like experiencing it with you! I loved the little fishes :)

Cool on getting that extra plant!

And I hope your illness doesn't get any worse. You want to be well for your trip.

I will do my best. Usually something pretty interesting happens almost everyday. I'm just disappointed that everyone left. It's just you and ACTipton on my journal now.

Thanks. That was such a nice day. I love being able to film underwater. I'm so glad I was able to film so many minnows.

Yeah same here.

It's hard to believe that it's only a five minute video, as it seems to go for longer. I think it looks really well made and you've captured some really amazing views. I hope you'll be sharing more in future.

Hey good to see you. Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. Yes I do plan to make more. Just got to get out and go to more cool places. I will definitely take it on my vacation this Oct. I'd love to use this to make some documentaries. Just don't have any specific ideas about what yet.

The clarity is amazing, even adjusting in and out of the water. It'll be great to see what you come up with eventually.
