Back on my computer hopefully
I have been doing way better. I'm healthier and my back doesn't hurt as much. Today Chris let me have his chair so we traded. I'm back on my computer. But it's not ideal still. The arm rests are huge and can't be removed without the whole chair falling apart. This makes it hard for me to reach the mouse and my arms are too high up and this will probably hurt my shoulder. Sigh, sucks nothing works right like it used to. Oh his desk everything was so far away I had to lean forward a lot to type and reach for my pen. I couldn't work on art long because it was a distraction.

And then today my laptop is really screwing up. Firefox is. It started when it made an update a while ago. I noticed the back and forward buttons and the home button were pixelated. If there is even a minor glitch it should be fixed because it will grow into a big problem. Then I started having trouble accessing my email. Then it would lag and say Firefox not responding. Now it turns white and freezes everything. I can not have this. This is why I never wanted to use the laptop for extended use online. It's just for emergencies and travel but well I guess this was an emergency as I was sick and it's also for sick time. I've never had my laptop get infected with anything and this is a first. And I have a feeling laptops are harder to fix than computers. I need it in perfect condition for my vacation because I need to get online each night for five minutes and get out quickly because it costs a lot. Although I have $100 to spend on the ship on anything. I could put some of that to internet time. It becomes active once you're on board. Last time they gave me $50 but I don't think I spent it all. So best to use it up because if you don't it's gone. I forgot about it and wish I had bought the little ship model they had.

Anyway, Weds was a very nice day. I will copy and paste here what I said on DA but now I have pics to share.

I took Latte my chicken to the vet for a new bandage. They gave her new popsicles on her leg and wrapped her foot in red this time. Last time it was pink with purple hearts. She's doing very well and they reduced her recovery time from one month to two weeks. So next Friday we go back and the cast/bandage should come off for good. That means she can go back to living outside. The only thing is her leg is still a bit swollen. Hopefully the antibiotics will help bring that down before this.

Then my friend badcowboy came over. We were supposed to go to Dinosaur World but it rained. So we stayed home and chatted. She gave me some cool pens, a Mad Cat figure and the drawing of gadget dead with a chicken on his head. I showed her all my cameras and with played with my GoPro and dunked it in the kitchen sink. So first underwater test. That was funny. Then we went out to eat. She had a Five Guys burger. They had those cool digital coke machines there like they had on the ship. I love those things. So fun. Then we went to a frozen yogurt place in the same mini mall called The Happy Cow. It was so funny in there with all these cutesy cows on the walls. But you can mix as many yogurts as you want into a big cup and add toppings and fruits. They weigh it and then you pay. I had a small thing of cookies and cream and French vanilla.

This is the wall where you can fill up your own bowls with any flavors you want.

So many sprinkles. They even had nerds!

all the fruits and gels you can add.

Then we went to the feedstore because I needed to buy some supplies for the house and for the chickens. That was nice because it's hard for me to get out there with Chris when he only has one day off a week. He'd already taken time off to take me to the vet that morning. Then we came home and I showed her some art I am working on and the programs on my computer. Chris came home finally and we then showed her games like Skyrim, Bully and GTA V. We showed her our guns and Chris played his guitar. I need to get back into playing my bass. Next time we can both play together.

It was late when she left so then Chris and I watched two eps of Star Trek. He got us season five of TNG on blueray. My gosh the quality is so much better. They remastered the sound and the video. Looks great and no more popping speakers when they make an S sound. The DVD's were crappy because it really looked like they just recorded a VHS tape. Even had ugly lines around the sides and stuff. Oh and Chris found a really cute shotgun lighter.

I didn't have a soda can for scale so I used that mini 8oz water bottle.

Bullet screams. Ha I bet you guys thought it would be a real bullet. I was laughing after I wrote the cut link Gun lighter and Bullet. Haha.

Bullet the T-rex.

Bullet mean.

Bullet bites.

My new Joby Gorilla pad small in fuschia. I liked it because it looks 80's. It's a mini tripod that you can wrap around poles and rocks to get pics of yourself and neat perspectives. All those pics of Bullet I got by using this on the shelf pole. The pics of me and the Amorph I got with this too.

Self serve yogurt places are popping up all over here too! We love them. There's an expensive one where I can't seem to get a small cup under $8. The cheaper one is good, but their yogurt isn't as thick as the pricey one.

Yeah it's pretty neat. I ended up paying $5 and didn't even fill the whole thing up, not even half. But I also bought a soda so I don't know how much it was just for the yogurt.

I think mine was less full than yours and I do believe it came to a bit over $4 and I had no soda. Not sure if they charge for toppings? I wouldn't think so. Dunno, but it's fun there :) That's a fun place to use as a "special treat" sort of thing.

It's all by weight. Toppings add weight to it. I don't remember how full yours was. I kinda didn't pay attention.

We have so many self-serve yogurt places around here, but we don't have Happy Cow. We have Red Mango and Sweet Frog and TCBY, but I think the toppings bar you took a picture of is bigger than any I've been to. I want to go get frozen yogurt this afternoon after seeing those pictures.

Bullet is so funny, and she has such an attitude. Budgies have such funny tongues.

I'd never seen one before. There used to be a lot of ice cream parlors but they vanished in the 00's. Happy Cow is local so far with only two locations. I do hope they will expand.

I've been practicing with different settings on my camera. I got some cool photos today of her in flying contortions.

That's a very nice day you had with badcowboy. How kind of Chris to let you borrow your chair so that you could get on computer. I guess a new computer chair is on your list for sometime in the future. oh no, about your computer. I guess you'd better get some help and run some virus scans through it. Also, make sure your memory is not overloaded. That tripod that you can wrap around things to get new perspectives looks really good!

Oh, and I used popsicle sticks to heal our chook's leg when I was a kid. (Except we called them ice cream sticks. We later ate the chook (O.o it was a meat chook) and I got to see how its leg had mended. The bone was fatter and more spongy than surrounding bone of the bone on the other leg.

I'm glad you are doing much better and I hope it stays that way!

Yes it was very nice. I don't know how to fix computers so I will ask Alex if he can fix it.

Latte is doing very well today. She can run for a little. I let her out again but I'm worried she lost her rank in the flock. She doesn't explore with the others and my dominant chicks Leafie and Hoboken now pick on her. I have her by herself on the patio. Poor thing.

I do too. I hope working on my computer won't mess me up again.
