I have been busy
Sorry I have not been on. I have been very busy and mostly hanging out on DA. I have made a lot of very good friends there. I wish they were here. Need to log a few flames too that happened but haven't felt like it. I've gotten some art done but not very much. It's been a year on April 7 since I first drew George. I made this silly like pic that everyone really liked.

Click for full size.
So George got a leaf cake. Remember he's part parasitic plant so he takes the life force out of any plants he comes near. He probably won't eat his. He just has to touch it or even be close and it will get absorbed. It's already turning brown the side nearest him so you can finally see how his powers work.

I'm hoping today I can work on some writing because I've been so bad about not working on Leeanix's story. The biggest thing going is we finished building the new coop. I'm very happy about that. I also finished putting up all the Easter decor a few days ago so I'm very pleased with that. I need to make a video showing what I have. I'm extremely behind on videos too so I have to start rendering stuff again from my trips. I've been very bad lately at managing my time. But time for pics now.

Bullet found my new bunny figure and she loves kissing it and playing with it.

This is part of the Summit Collection. There are six in the set. These are the two females and they are my favorites. I love the rare colors of yellow and white. You usually only find blue and green budgies. Plus the poses are awesome and they have some of the best feet I have ever seen on budgie figures.

Not a fan of the budgie on the right. There is no color mutation that look like that. But his pose and all the poses are great. I like this set because of the great detail too.

The last two. I am extremely pleased and was so happy when I got these.

These are the ones from Japan. Kitan Club. They are more cartoony but I love them all and was happy how fast they arrived.

Here are all the walls of the coop done.

Starting on the roof support.

Chris working on the roof pieces.

Done! Almost. The doors have some issues to work out still. And I have to build the perches and nest holders. I have been putting the bowl in there and most of the hens are learning to go in. A few are still afraid. This did take both of us and one person could not build a shed like this alone.

Somehow all of Bullet's tail fell out. Yes she is molting but usually tails and wings don't fall out all at the same time. I found all the feathers and saved them. Well she looks so funny. I'm calling her Stubby for now.

So that's some of what I have been up to. I have so much work to do in the garden still. I'm really enjoying Spring.

I'd seen that drawing of George when it was just a sketch, and I wondered what his cake was made from.

Bullet is so cute. I love the picture of Bullet and the bunny. She reminds me of Rudy there.

I love the figurines too. My favorites are the two females and the sleepy one. And the blue Japanese one reminds me of the Rudy gourd you gave me.

Stubby! I call Nigel that when he loses his long tail feathers. The short ones aren't much longer than the coverts so he doesn't have to lose his whole tail to be Stubby.

It's a leaf cake. He'd like that very much.

I was so happy when I first saw her cuddling with that bunny.

Thanks. I love these figures. Yeah the two females are great. I love them. Yeah it does look like the budgie gourd.

Yeah I've seen some budgies with just the shortest tail feathers and they do look stubby too.

Awwww Bullet! That is weird about his tail. A few years ago Muffin dropped all the flight feathers on his one wing while we were on vacation. I thought he had missed us and plucked them, but the bird lady suggested he had a big scare, like car lights shining in at night. Apparently cockatiels will also drop their tails if threatened.

Those budgie figurines are the coolest! My faves are the white and yellow.

Yes it is called Fright Molt. It's possible this also happened to Bullet.

Thanks. I like the white and yellow too.

Haha, I was really missing you on her and hoping you'd post today! But you are busy with spring and should get out there and make the most of it.

Happy Birthday to George! That's a nice pic of him :)

Aaaw...that is cute how Bullet is smooching up to your new bunny figurine :)

Cool budgie figurines. The top two do look like they have a lot of detail.

You and Chris have been hard at work on your 'chook palace' :)

And Bullet does look funny when moulting :) I can't believe that she is moulting already. It seems almost yesterday that she was born!

Aw thank you. I'm glad you missed me. I think about you a lot. I'm going to try to be more active here.

Thanks. Yes he had a nice birthday.

I was pleased when I found she loves that bunny so much.

I'm so happy I got these budgies finally.

Yes and it's really come along. The new babies will arrive next month and I want everything ready by then.

Yes she's 7 months old now.
