Fixed the drawing
I'm not used to this time change. I don't like that I'm waking up so late. I'm slowly training myself. I used to wake up at 7:30. So now it's been 8:30 which gives me less time to do stuff in the morning before starting on birds. But today I was up at 8:11 which is good. So I'm making my way back to normal time.

For the last two days I haven't felt like doing anything creative though it sure has been on my mind. As for stuff around the house same old same old. Birds, chickens and plants. But it's been good. I should be getting a plant order in today for an Aristolochia califonica. I know have several Aristolochia in the tank. Last night was cold and brought all the plants in. It was 37 this morning. I hope that's the last of it for the year. It's so annoying bringing everything in and out. And I'd love to get everything out of the tank and outside permanently. I need to get a pic but I'm growing a chayote this year. It's a member of the cucurbit family. It's already sprouted. I need to take a pic because the seed sprouts inside the fruit then you plant it. I'm waiting for it to get a bit longer. Like my other plants I'll pot it and wait for things to warm up. I tired to grow one a few years ago but it didn't work out. I think this time it will. My dragon fruits are doing good. Two have new growth. A red one which also really needs to go outside. And a purple one is getting a tiny bud. I wish my white one would do something. It's still alive but just sitting there.

So yesterday I finally managed to work on art. I fixed the drawing on the first frame and started the second one. I should finish that today. But I'm not looking forward to the third. Thagirion's in it and he's hard. And I always forget how to color him. If I figure it out again I will write it down here. I know it has something to do with making him all black first then doing red neon glow. But neon glow is tricky. It's a filter. After that I don't remember how I got the yellows and oranges on him. Eeeeh not looking forward to that. Ophidius is so easy to draw and color. I love working with him. His stuff always finishes fast. Anyway here's the pic.

I still didn't know what to do in cell shading style. So I just did gradient shading which I feel like I cheated because it's so easy, but looks very nice. I added more points inside his hair to show he has layers and not just flat hair. This is something I must do from now on.
So I hope that today I can work on the Leeanix story too. I'd love to make some good progress on that.
I spend a lot of time over on DA, so you can find me here. Would love to have some of you join me on it. I just put up this funny handwriting meme on it.

His hair on his left definitely looks better. It looked too straight before, and that would take too much effort for someone with wavy or frizzy hair who also doesn't care too much about their appearance.

I need to move pet plant outside soon. We are still having cold snaps, so I haven't yet. I have a couple other plants that will go outside when I get my garden going for this year. I have a crown cutting from a pineapple that I want to see if I can grow. There was a pineapple plant with a pineapple on it at UNCC, and I've wanted to grow one ever since I saw that one.

Thank you. I found a photo of a girl that has the perfect texture of how I imagine his hair. So I have that saved to my references.

I think your pet plant should make lovely pitchers for you this year once things warm up. I have never had luck with pineapples. There was one growing here when we moved it and it was the yummiest we have ever had. I'd love to grow one again. Good luck with yours.

It's funny that our time changes have happened so far apart....I think ours has happened....actually I'm not sure. Maybe it will be in a couple of weeks.
Good luck with the plants! It's been chilly again here. There has been fog in the mornings the last couple of days. I step out of the house and into a scene from a Stephen King novel lol!
Ah the pic looks much better. The points you added on his hair make it look more 3D and less flat. The gradient is simple yet effective. I use that a lot too.

Yeah I have noticed they are at different times. It's been foggy some mornings here too.
Yeah I'm glad it's better. It's nice. Thanks for the help.

If I were you, and you didn't have to get up when Chris does, I would ignore the time change (except for appointments etc) and just go on my own bio-rhythm. But I guess that even if you don't have to get up when Chris does, you would still be disturbed by the activity.

The gradient style shading on George is very effective.

I guess I'd have to start doing some art again to go onto dA :)

I'm sure I'll adjust in time.

Thanks. I'm glad it worked out in the end.

Yeah or you can put your photos there.

Cool, I might do that :)
