Happy Thanksgiving and frogs in the house
I made pumpkin pies today. They are cooling in the fridge. It was so funny because you guys know I'm not very strong and I was using a butternut squash. I couldn't cut the thing with a knife and I was home alone so Chris couldn't help me. It was so hard. So I put some newspaper on the ground and started throwing it trying to smash it open. It was bouncing like a rubber ball. Took forever. I got it all on film and will edit that soon. It's really funny. Oh my gosh Chris and I were cracking up watching that. But I finally got it opened and made it into a pie.

I also got some work done on the Christmas card. I think I'm about 40% done with the inking. I brought in the budgies and most of the plants. I think my passion vines outside will be ok. It's only going to be one cold night. Upper 30's. So long as it doesn't go into the lower 30's. It's gamble but here's hoping things will be ok. It rained last night but rain always comes ahead of a cold front.

My back was hurting from having stood over the counters making pies. It always hurts when I make pies but it was worth it. I took a hot shower and feel better now. It hurts less but I wish it would stop all together. I hope the cold won't make things worse tonight.

I need to make a wish list and I need to put up my card list. So sorry if I make like four posts today or more.

Oh and I leave you with this funny pic of a frog in my kitchen.

I brought in all my nepenthes plants because of the cold weather. I was going to trim this N. miranda in the sink and this huge Cuban tree frog jumped out and landed on the spigot. It was so funny. I like how green she was that's rare. Usually they are an ugly brown or grey. She had gold eyes. I put some plastic gloves on (because frogs always pee) grabbed her and threw here outside. I have been finding stow away frogs in my plants because of this. There are also spiders. Seems I brought the whole ecosystem into my bathroom. Sigh.

I remember before when you had a frog in your house. Hehe they're cute little guys!

Yes when we first moved in they got in through the toilets all the time. They are cute. They still get in that way then we hear them jumping around the bathrooms or swimming in the toilet.

I had never seen one this green. She was cool and the eyes were such metallic gold.

She was mad I disturbed the plants. Silly frog.

That is so funny about the frog in the nepenthes. It is a beauty and pretty good size. Looks like the ones I have been finding lately around here....green with the gold eyes.

Anybody, strong or weak would have trouble cutting open those squashes. I have a terrible time just slicing open a small one. Watermelons and pumpkins are tough, too. Can't wait to see that video!!!

Yes she was big. I think this is different from yours. Yours are native tree frogs which is nice.

I just uploaded it to youtube. It's really funny. I'll post it tonight once everything has happened today. Chris just left to the family gathering. I'm staying home. Too many people and I'm not feeling too well anyway. I'll try to work on my card.

We are just leaving in a few minutes for Tracy's, so I'll look for it tonight after we get home.

Sorry you aren't feeling well, but I do understand about the too many people. Thankfully all my crowds today will be good and comfortable ones.

Have a good time then. It's ok, it's just that time of month started today. That explains why I had more backpains yesterday. I always forget that's a symptom. I'll be ok in two days.
Oh that's good. I'm like that if it's a small group of people I know and feel comfortable with. Yep I'll put it up tonight. I already have things to talk about but I prefer to wait til the day is over to talk about everything at once. Not as stuff happens.

It was a funny surprise when she jumped out and landed there.

That's cool that you had a frog in your house. I highly approve! I think we have those ones here, too. Or ones very similar. I think they have gold on their bodies, too.

I think there's only one left in the house now.
