New headset and photo manipulation
Yesterday was a good day. We got a lot of the house cleaned up. Got the kitchen counters, all the hard floors and the bedroom floor. I'm hoping today to do the bathrooms and/or the patio. That darn patio keeps getting put off. We had a mistunderstanding with Chris's parents. We thought yesterday was the day we'd go out for Chris's birthday. It's next Wednesday actually. So that kind of messed up our plans a little. But Chris took me out to pizza hut anyway and then after that got me my own blue head set. Here it is.

I like them and the game sounds great. But I have to get used to them. Pressure built up in my ears and that little flap in front of the ear opening was hurting on both ears but my left one more. My jaw was a little sore and it felt like getting off a plane when your ears hurt. I've always had sensitive ears and even little ear buds have always hurt me in that little flap. I do get used to it though so I think it will be ok. They are better this morning and I will try again later today. But they work fine and look neat. I just wish they were more turquoise than a dark blue. But I still wanted blue over green so we'd have one of each color and not get confused. Though I think I like the green ones better now.

And yesterday I finished a rather awesome photo manipulation. Check out what I did with this screen cap of George from the game.

Here is the original so you can compare them. Big difference huh? Other than the obvious (antennas and tail) I gave him his teeth, hair, took away the beard and gave him his duster coat tail. He's fairly close now to my George but still a few things off. I wish he looked like this in the game. I also wish the photo had been more to the right so I could fit his whole tail. I will try this again with a few other photos of cool poses that could work.

EDIT: Chris found a big baby pigeon in the loft that had been beat up by the flock. We missed it. We usually throw out the eggs because we don't want breeding. So now I'm hand feeding a pigeon too and I'm not happy. I need to get this pigeon and Bullet weaned before the trip. I didn't want another pigeon. I am not happy at all about this.

Current Mood: Busy

I love the textures on the wood! Very real looking. And a great looking character George is, too!

Oh no! about the baby pigeon. I can just imagine your surprise when you found it. But poor thing being beat up by the flock. I am glad you found and rescued him and saved him from more pain and torture by the others. I hope you get them both weaned before your trip.

Thank you. I only made a few changes to him. I took a photo of my TV screen of him and fixed the things that were wrong so he looked more like my character. I didn't make the background or anything like that. Just a little photoshop paint job ;) But thank you. Means a lot to me that you think he's a cool character. He's definitely my current focus.

Yeah, I couldn't let the poor thing get killed and though I'm annoyed and stressed to have more work than I need now I will do my best. The good thing is that the baby is pretty old and I might be able to get him to start to eat his own food early. Yeah 9 days left. I'm starting to feel stressed. But excited too.

Neat headset, it looks cool in blue!
Too bad about the pigeon though, that's annoying :(

Thanks. Yeah I love both these headsets.
Yeah, I'll have to start feeding it a littler later today. It's big baby though.

Love your photo manipulation of George!

I think you will get used to the new headphones. Just wear them a little longer each day.

What a pity about the baby pigeon. I wonder if you could get someone to adopt it?

Thanks. It's so neat to see him realistically.

I used them again last night and they didn't hurt this time.

Luckily he has started eating on his own so I think though I still have to feed him he should wean soon.

That's good that he has started to feed himself and can be weaned soon - in time for your holiday.
