Lovely nepenthes
We've had a lot of rain. When the sun finally comes out it is disgusting. Gross, hot sticky and humid. But perfect weather for nepenthes. All my outdoor plants are loving it. I have some pics to share of them but first, what happens when a white bird sits in wet pellets?

The food got wet some how and they use the bowls as nests and beds. So I had a bit of a scare one morning when I found red bellied pigeons. No one was hurt, they just got painted.

This is passiflora manta. My eyelash alien is blooming again. I'm growing this plant indoors on a window sill. I Love it! It's a tiny passion flower.

A long N. copelandii pitcher.

A bunch of N. alata boshiana mimics.

N. khasiana growing. This is the plant I ordered a while back. It's loving it outside. I hope it will grow huge by the end of the year.

N. reindwartiniana red. I love nepenthes that get multiple pitchers. My truncatas are great but only get two pitchers at a time.

N. bicalcarata and friend.

Our check finally cleared for our truck. We officially own it now. That's so awesome. It will be easier to save without that huge monthly payment on us. Yesterday I got a little bit of inking, writing and coloring done. Once again I feel like I didn't do anything because it's small progress on several things and looks like nothing's happened. After I'm done typing this I will try to draw some more Stunt Scabs if I can stop procrastinating and getting distracted by everything. But things are going well.

Current Mood: Working

The nepenthes look like they're doing great! And that's funny about the pigeons!
I know the feeling of procrastination. I actually got two pictures done today; the Zane and a commission. So I'm happy with that. Also tomorrow is my 10 year anniversary on dA and yesterday I did a pic for that too.

I'm so glad they are growing so well. Yeah it was scary at first then it was funny. Wow awesome. Congrats. Dec will be 9 years for me but eh, I wish I could have carried the date over from my Destroyah account. I am working on Badyear now. I finished his flat colors and I always get stuck at this point trying to figure out how I'll shade him.

That's a cute pigeon, even if it got into wet pellets.
How big is the eyelash alien? It's a cute little flower.
I love the red pitchers on the second to last picture.

He's very cute. He always pecks us when we change the food.
It's a small flower. About two inches wide.
Thanks. That plant is so pretty and bright red.

Oh my gosh! I wish they would stop making red things for birds! Moxie and Jill both had white heads and both enjoyed rubbing them on a red apple chew block. When Muffin chows down on Zupreem, it turns his poop reddish...way to scare a birdmomm!

Well it's funny now. I have pretty red pigeons now. Once I got over the initial WTF HAPPENED reaction it was funny.

Funny, when I rescued a baby sparrow, it likes to dust bath in its seeds, too! But they never had any red colouring in them. I guess it's vitamins and minerals?

Hot and sticky: Ugh! Actually not that ugh, I'd rather hot weather to cold. Glad the nepenthes are liking it. They're doing well!

Love your tiny passions flower :) And I love the fangs on that N. bicalcarata (last pic).

And yay on owning the truck! You will be able to save so much more now :)

Yes they are vitamins in some of the seeds. But the pellets which are a complete diet have colors. Too bad they didn't turn blue. Would have been less scary in the morning.

I do too, but I have my limits on heat. But if I had to chose I'd have no cold days.

Thanks, it's so cute.

Yes it will definitely help a lot.
