The Challenge of Four
It rained a lot today. A tropical storm passed us by. I opened the patio so the chickens could come in out of the rain and eat. They did. My pumpkins and gourds are doing pretty good inside. I wanted to make a video update with them today but youtube did finally change my channel. I hate it. I hate that they just had a change for the worst already this year. No more background. You only get a banner at the top. I'm right about how they don't want you to have any individuality. Every time they take more and more away from us that made our channels unique. I feel bad for neglecting my friends there but I just have no desire to be there, to update or to comment anymore. I'm not quitting I'm just very disenchanted right now. I'm sick of all the sites doing this. Bad enough FLickr pulled their crap, but now youtube does it just a few days later. Photobucket did it a while ago too and I still hate it and always will. I never forget anything and never let anything go.

Anyway, here's my latest drawing. This one took way too long but I'm glad it's over. It's called The Challenge of Four.

Here's the description I had from DA.

The man said nothing and with his left hand lifted Ophidius up over his head and held him there a second. Ophidius screamed and then the quiet stranger tossed him across the room back first into a card table. The two men playing when flying across the room as Ophidius crashed through to the floor. Cards and poker chips rained down on him. Malidicus couldn’t help but laugh at his friend. Slith rolled over. He held his chest with his right hand. His ribs really hurt. Breathing was hard. As he propped himself up with his other hand he noticed the cards on the floor and snatched them up.
“Hey full house! He was winning.” Ophidius said with a laugh.
The big guy came at him again.
“Aw, shit!” Slith said as he stood up to once again attempt to fight.

That's an excerpt from one of Ophidius's short stories. I had a lot of fun writing this story and originally wanted to make it into a comic book, but that would have taken way too long. So I have just been drawing key scenes from it. George Smith (the human form of Gallemotch) found Ophidius at the saloon and started beating the tar out of him. He caught him completely off guard.

I'm glad it's over. I was not expecting to finish today. When I realized it was time to color the lines I got very happy because I knew I could finish before the end of the day. And I've got more stuff in the works still. So yes please comment.

I changed my channel over a couple weeks ago when I got the message that they would be forcing the change on us so I wouldn't be caught off guard. I did put a cute picture of my birds as my banner over there though.

The first word that came to my mind when I looked at your picture was "ouch."

I wanted to hold out as long as possible and fight them to the end. I went to look. That's a great pic.

Yeah, and he's in for more yet. Gallemotch wants to take his place.

I like the perspective of looking down on this one and the poker chips and cards flying everywhere. The story adds even more. Very nice!

Thank you. The chips and the cards were the hardest and really slowed this piece down for me. I'm glad you like the story. There are more scenes from it I'd like to draw. Thanks for commenting.
