Blue Tree Budgie
I have been working on this one a long time now. I'm very happy with how it turned out. It's a budgie snake.

Click for full size.
So yes I can link to Da. I just have to do it manually. They have link and embed codes but I don't like how any of them look and how small they are. So here's the description.
The blue color morph of the Green Tree Budgie is sometimes found in the wild in jungles of south east Asia. The green is more common. These coatls are a mix of Green Tree Python and Budgerigar. Tree budgies actively and passively hunt birds. They wait camouflaged in the foliage for a bird to come by. If the wait becomes to long they will become active and even fly after birds.

This isn't the original background I wanted. I wanted it to be completely full of bamboo and look like he was flying through a tunnel. But it was so tedious putting in every tree. I decided to do a "simpler" background to practice. But it was almost as tedious and took way too long. I am very happy with this though.

There was something else I wanted to mention but I can't remember. I'll make an edit if no one says anything then. I'm about to head out. Enjoy.

Absolutely stunning! But I agree with you though that more bamboo (and a couple more of those vines in the rust color with the nepenthes on them) would be a better background. That bamboo is beautiful with its various shades of green! And if you put a couple of those bamboos in front of the vine, it will add another dimension--pushing things back and bringing things forward. This drawing is giving me (finally) an idea for the commission. I'll e mail you about it.

Thank you. I'm glad you like it. I did try to create the illusion of depth this time. It and it did sort of work though not as much as with the one of Quetz and Malidicus in the woods. The bamboo in the background is slightly blued and then then far trees are blurred even more. The palm branches are in the foreground so they are blurred too. What I wanted originally was something like this

Just the trees on the right side but I was not able to do it so I went for this "easier" environment. I have three bamboo trees I made that I put the line work in over and over and there were layers everywhere. It was crazy and the thought of doing a forest tunnel with the perspecting going to the right was hard. I just couldn't do it. I didn't know how. I may try again in the future to redo this background. But I love my branch he'll be landing on with the nepenthes. I'm glad you knew what they were.

Yes, I'll be glad to do your commission. Please be sure to email me.

Thank you. I wanted it to look like the jungles of South East Asia where these snakes are from.

He looks happy. I like him. I like the little Nepenthes on the side too.

I'm glad. Yay, someone noticed the nepenthes. They are the snake fanged ones. I thought that would be appropriate.

I like this character very much, and all its behaviours, too. I really like the bamboo and the branch and the Nepenthes. Too bad the bamboo was so fiddly to do. Your tree budgie could live here. I have bamboo and live in 'Budgie Land', even if they don't live right here. I wouldn't want it eating all my beautiful native birds I have around, though.

Thank you. I'm very happy with how the nepenthes turned out. Yes, budgie land! I'm sure he'd fit right in there. Hopefully he won't eat too many birds.

This picture turned out really nice. I already left a comment on DA but I figured it bears repeating that it came out well!

Thank you. I appreciate the comment here as well.
