Too much gaming
This started a few days ago. My hands have been hurting from holding the controler too much. Yesterday I just couldn't play. Chris was sweet and played for me on my accounts. I'm going to have to take a break from gaming, which I don't want to do. I'm having so much fun. So that sucks. I don't know how long. Probably a day or two. Ugh. It hurts to type too and use the mouse but not as much.

I got some progress done on my drawing yesterday. I should try to get further today since I'm not going to be gaming and the mouse doesn't hurt as much as the controler. All the joints in the hands and wrist hurt and on my right side it shoots half way up my radius. I have forgotten to take my Joint Juice for several days too so I need to start doing that again.

I got my capture card in the mail yesterday. I need to rig it up and test it. I'd like it if I didn't have to install the software because I just want to use Sony VMS and not its own program.

Chris took me out somewhere awsome yesterday. He got home and told me he wanted to show me something and we'd take a drive. That's extremely unusal for him because once he gets home he doesn't go out again. He told me to bring my cameras. Ooohhh!! I got very excited and got dressed right away. I figured we'd go see a flock of birds roosting somewhere. When we got close he told me to close my eyes or not look. So I looked down at my cameras and played with them. I knew we were at one of the farmer's markets and then I thought that may-be they'd gotten in a bunch of pumpkins early. He told me to look up and when I did there was a HUGE field of sunflowers. OMG!! I LOVE sunflowers. They used to be my favorite plants before I got really into cucurbits and nepenthes. I asked one of the employees if it was ok to go in and take pics and she said yes. It was evening so the sun was behind all the sunflowers. Once open sunflowers always face east. So too bad they were back lit. Morning is the best light for sunflowers. It was also over cast so they had a big glare behind them. But I took lots of pics. Chris did too because he used my camera while I was was filming video. It was like a corn maze but with sunflowers which is way better. I called it the sun forest. I have been meaning to plant a small version of that in my yard but since I've been so busy with the pumpkin patch I haven't had a chance to weed that area. I had a blast. It was another late birthday gift. I'll post the pics soon once I sort them and decide where to upload them to.

I hope you are not getting carpal tunnel in your hands and wrists, Des. Holding something for long periods of time in the same position is not good.

What a nice surprise from Chris! Can't wait to see the pictures of the "sun forest."

I think it will be fine. I just need to not use them so much fora few days which sucks. I probably shouldn't even be typing but I can't help it.

I definitely need to put those up.

I'd love to see a sunflower field. I remember I had a pot of miniature sunflowers when I was a kid. I don't remember which summer I had them. I also remember having a sunflower randomly come up between the steps on the deck. A bird had dropped a seed from the feeder and it grew. It was another small variety of sunflower.

It's a beautiful sight. You'd like it. I love it when sunflowers come up on thier own. That's cool.

Hope it stops hurting soon. I tend to take a break every so often when I'm gaming, to give my hands a rest for a bit. So I have a break and get a drink or something and then go back to the game.
I look forward to seeing the sunflower pics!

I do take breaks every few hours. But I just have join problems and I guess I can't play like I used to.
They should be up soon.

That must be frustrating not being about to game just when you got your new capture card!

I agree with the others, look after your hands, rest up a few days (as you plan on doing) and you should be fine.
