Pumpkin patch progress
I have lots of neat pics to share this time around. Remember that pitcher I was showing the progress on? It was all flat. Now it's inflated.

Almost ready to open

Pretty awesome.

Pitcher almost ready to open

It hasn't grown anymore though. It should open any day now.

Next one on the way

Here's the next one on the way. It's amazing they start smaller than this as a tendril, become flat then inflate. Notice the big one in the background. I hadn't noticed that until I uploaded the pic.

Half the patch cleared

After I responded to you guys this morning about the hummingbirds I went out into the patch. I had two black plastic tarps laid down. I was zonked after doing this. But I think doing this will really help from the way it was last year just on open ground.

Half cleared and two tarps

Same thing but a view further down.

Three tarps down 1

I took this in the evening after laying down the third tarp.

Three tarps down 2

The raised beds are rotted and I will be taking them out to make room for pumpkins.

Three tarps so far

Close up. It rained before I finished with the last one. If you saw my videos you'd be amazed how much this was over grown and all that I've done. But it's not even half way done yet. Sigh.

silvolf I got you gift today. I decided to go ahead and open it early. Thanks I really like it. I have two other plastic chicks like that in yellow and green that are similar. That's funny that yeah I gave you a seal around the same time.

The nepenthes look nice. I think it would be interesting to see a sped up video of how the pitchers grow. I bet it would look cool.
Glad you like the gift! I was amused at the coincidence lol!

I really want to get a nice timelapse camera for that. I've got a lot of neat plants that it would be cool to see them open up.
Yes was very funny how we basically got each other the same things.
Oh off topic. My Firefox opens new links in new browsers. How do I get it to just open normally not in a tab or a new browser?

That's odd. It's never happened to me before. Maybe there's something in the settings for it. I know if you click the scroll wheel of the mouse on a link, it opens it in a new tab and not a new window.

That pitcher is really big and puffed up. And my favourite colour :)

I like how your chooks are incidental in some of your photographs.

That wood would be good for an autumn fire. I bet the chooks like the bgs when you pull it up.

Good luck with your pumpkin patch!

Yes, I can't wait for it open. Oh ok, I didn't know red was your favorite color. I'll have to remember that.

Yeah they're always everywhere following me when I'm out.

Yeah, we have tons of debris to burn. But our area isn't good for it.

Thanks.
