Got some of it back
I got some good news today. I got my refund for the humidifer. Got almost all my money back. They kept the $8 of the "free shipping". That's ok, I knew about it in the return policy but that's too bad. But I got something at least. I mailed off the broken Allosaurus today too and learned my lesson. This time I got shipping confirmation on it. I've been watching its progress so I'll know more or less when it arrives. From now on I'll be getting delivery confirmation on almost everything since it's free. I'm such a control freak I love seeing where my packages are be they coming or going.

No art today. I had no energy to do anything though I REALLY wanted to. I did start working on the next scene which will be of three hadrosaurs. Remember that tube of animal pets I bought just to get the budgie? I did a search for that budgie on Ebay and found a blue on and a few that are being sold loose. I'd like to buy a few so I can paint them into whatever color mutations I choose. Ebay has a thing that's both good and bad. They give you related searches on the main page based on what you've searched before. They showed me a ceramic budgie I have to have. Sigh, I'm trying to not buy too much but I can't resist a well done budgie for a cheap price. I was very tempted to do a search for budgie figures but best I don't.

And speaking of not spending and temptation making it worse. My favorite nepenthes shop just got a new shipment in or a bunch of stuff I want, some at good prices but too much stuff that I can't get...yet. How annoying. My birthday's still a long ways off too.

I'll leave you with two of my most prized budgie posessions.

Ceramic Budgies

I've had these two budgies since I can remember. I remember being young like 6 and being amazed how realistic they looked. Now I see their flaws but they are still well made figures. This is the kind of stuff I like to collect. I like budgie statues that are realistic and nice to look at too.

That's good you got at least something back. Good luck on the Allosaurus too.
Haha I always see things on eBay I'd like XD It's so tempting!
The budgie statues are cute. I like how they are painted.

Yeah, they seem like a nice company. I'm more worried about this Allosaur thing.
There are some very cute budgie figures out there now.
Thanks, yeah I love their colors too.

Glad you got your money back, if not the postage.

That's really frustrating when you want to do some art, but don't have the energy to do it. I hope you have the energy tomorrow.

Yeah it turned out pretty well.

I'm feeling better today so I think I can get some nice progress done.

That's good your refund went through. It's nice that delivery confirmation is free now. I always like to have that because postal workers will be faster with stuff that has it. I know from hubby's previous experience working at the PO that carriers are more likely to be prompt delivering stuff with confirmation than stuff without.
