Been busy again
So I have been busy lately. It's all good, I've been having fun. I got the plants from that jerk yesterday. They were unhealthy. I'll make a full review here later on. I showed the pics on the forum and everyone agreed they were sick but that I could pull them through. I have repotted them, gave them water and put them out in the shade house to recover. I hope they'll pull through. I also filmed the unboxing of when they arrived.

I'm groggy this morning. Been having a lot of fun on the forums. Been doing some trading.
silvolf asked me how I can draw in the car? Here's how.

Drawing in the car

I put my laptop on the edge of my knees and rest the monitor on the dashboard. I then put the tablet pad on my lap so I can still reach the keyboard and then draw with my mouse on it. I'm not left handed. I had to put the camera over my head to get this pics and after several tries got a decent one. I had to hold the mouse to keep it from sliding around.

Babies getting bigger

Four bluebird babies. They're big enough that I can see them now. They're in the pin feather stage.

Sarracenia rubra gulfensis flower

The Sarracenia buds finally opened. I know that actipton80 was curious how they'd look once opened.

N. reindwartiana red? 1

Lastly, a cute pitcher coloring up outside.

I've started on a drawing of a Nepenthes merrilliana. I'm hoping to make it into a thermus. I've never colored plants with lots of detail so I'm not quite sure what I'm doing or how to make the textures. But I'm sure I'll eventually figure something out. I also need to keep plugging away at the Work Fight drawing.

The bluebirds will be really cute once they get their eyes open, but I don't think they get their eyes open until a couple days before they fledge. They are cute now though.

It's a green flower. The ones I looked up on the internet were red.

Their eyes are opned. They were just sleeping. Baby bird eyes open in about a week to a week and a half.
That particular Sarracenia is a mutation called anthocyanin free. So these plants are all green. Yeah not as pretty.

Ah cool, yeah I can see how you do it now!
The sarracenia belonging to Mum has an unopened flower on it. It's really weird, the pitchers are dying but the bud is alive.

Yeah, I had to get creative about it in the limited space.
Good. Sarracenias send up flowers first in the Spring if they are old enough. Then the pitchers come back in. You don't want to eat your pollinators.

Ah yes, that makes sense. I'll tell Mum!

They are very sweet.

Glad you are feeling better.

Yeah, they're getting big so the parents are working harder to feed them now.

Those littlke blue birds are getting their blue featers. So cute. Aaagh!

I'm glad you filmed the opening of the plants. I think you have a high chance of getting them much healthier, but he shouldn't have posted you inferior stock.I wouldn't buy from them anymore if I were you.
