Anticipating Fall and jamming
I'm so happy about Fall starting. I consider Sept 1st to the be official start of Fall and it's almost here. I've got my main pumpkin patch planted and the second growing season is off to a good start. This short season lasts from Aug-Dec. January starts the really cold weather and growing is over by then as that and Feb are the coldest months. Well I don't want to worry about winter yet. I want to enjoy the cool weather coming and everything Fall brings with it.

I might be traveling in the Fall! Chris's aunt has invited us and everyone to her house in Georgia for Thanksgiving. I definitely want to go, but I also would like to go there a week early to enjoy the quiet of the woods since they live in a log cabin. I'd like to get to know North Georiga and may-be sneak into Tenessee. Last time my plan to do that was thwarted for lack of a car and driving restrictions. I have none of that now. I don't know how I'll go about this yet, but I have time to plan it out and figure it out. So that's very exciting. It's just too bad that there probably won't be any pumpkin patches left open. I'd love to go to a real pumpkin patch. Even though pumpkins are for Thanksgiving too the whole pumpkin patch and farm tour thing is all about Halloween. But yeah like I said there's still time to figure this all out.

I've started decorating. I've got most of the non holiday window clings and cut out on the windows and walls. The house looks less cluttered and more colorful now. Today Chris helped me in the garage and we made progress on the north wall. I don't remember if I mentioned but the west wall is pretty much done except for throwing away some wood boards. We take around one or two a week to the dump and it will slowly disappear.

I'm very impressed with how creative Chris has been lately. He's been writing new songs and play all of his guitars. Today I got to join him on bass twice. During the day we played the classical stuff. And just now we finished his metal stuff. I'm happy to have been shown his songs and it's so nice to play along. We jammed for hours and it was great. I love long practice sessions. I really want him to get that Pro Tools for the computer so he can start laying down tracks. Perhaps this weekend we can pick one up after pay day. I'm all for it.

I forgot to take pics of the decorated bathrooms. I must do that tomorrow. I also must get back to inking my stuff.

I wish fall was as nice here as it is there. All I see is the weather getting colder and I hate that since I don't do well in the cold.
Ooh I hope you get to go travelling!

Yeah that's too bad. It's been so hot that we could use a little relife. But I'm not looking forward to the cold that will eventually come. That will suck.
Thanks. I hope so too.

The day before spring the sun was hot, here, so, like you, it seemed that spring was pretty much here. You may as well start decorating!

That is cool that you might go to stay in a log cabin in the woods for a week. I'm sure you can make it happen.

That is really cool that Chris is being creative lately. I hope you two can get Pro Tools soon :)

Yeah, I think it's ok to start a week early like I did.

Yeah, I hope it will work out.

Yeah, he's been doing some amazing stuff. Yeah I really want him to get that.

Here there are fall decorations everywhere in stores. Since kids go back to school in August, it's like once the back-to-school sale stuff goes, Halloween and fall are right on their heels.

Good luck with your pumpkins!

Being out of school the gap of no holidays in August and Sept are very obvious to me now. Before you didn't notice anything happening in August because it was still summer vacation. And we went back to school in Sept so that was the start of Fall and Halloween. I loved how my elementary school would decorate and make haunted houses and each holiday was celebrated by an art project. Very good times.

Thanks.

I miss a lot of the Indiana fall stuff. I miss going to marching band competitions every Saturday. I miss going to the apple orchard and riding their hay wagon back to the pumpkin patch. They don't have apple orchards or pumpkin patches outside of the mountains in North Carolina.

There's got to be something. I found this website that lists some patches. Perhaps there's one close to your area.

I'd love to do a traditional fall farm thing like that and go to a pumpkin patch or apple orchard. Would be so cool. There's even less of that down here. Our pumpkin patches are in roadside tents. Fun but something's just not quite right.

I like Winter more because then we have snow here at least XD. In Autumn it is just wet, cold and foggy here in Austria. Nothing really cosy.
I need to put up some new decorations also. :)

Ugh, I'd hate all that snow. I like tropical winters. You should come here for the Fall. It's beautiful. A New England fall with all the activities like pumpkin ptach, corn maze and apple orchard are just lovely.
