TC, art, plants and music. Very productive day
Today's been a much better day. I mixed the media for some tissue culture I'll be doing on pipevine seeds. My friend that helps me with this stuff wrote me and told me about some scales that are good to use. They're around 20-25 bucks but measure three decimal places and should stay on and keep measuring despite slowly pouring stuff. But I'll get one of those after I get my Ph reader. I ordered one from China a month ago and never got it. The guy was nice enough to give me my money back. I found the same model in the US though it's more expensive at least I know I'll get it and get it fairly quick instead of waiting weeks when I need it NOW for my experiment. I need that more than I need the scale so I'll get the scale next time around. But for now I'll use the Ph strips. I do love my new pressure cooker though. Only complaint is it's hard to close. But I can fit a lot more bottles in it so that's great.

I got my Nepenthes truncata d in the mail today from Botanical Wonders. I LOVE it! Gosh, as soon as I took it out of the box I fell in love with it. Yikes could this be my new favorite plant? I feel bad about the merrillianas and how much I looked for them, but they don't make pitchers for me. This one is the first one I've ordered (not found at lowe's that's common) that has a huge pitcher. Look how beautiful.

What's special about it is that it supposed to be orange once it's full grown. Normal truncatas are green and only the peristome colors up. This is a new variation. Truncatas are some of the biggest nepenthes out there so I'm hoping it will get really big. It's a baby and it's already big. That's a six inch pot. It's actually a hanging basket but left it as a pot since it's still too small to be appreciated as a haning basket. I've read truncatas are also really easy so I'm hoping to keep it as a house plant. I want to get a florecent light for my kitchen service window and hang it from there.

I just finished the first half of my new drawing. Check this out.

It's the one I mentioned yesterday of Owen punching out Cope. They were argunig at work and Owen lost his temper and showed Cope what he thought of him. This is a scene from my main story Innocence Lost. I think this will be very nice once I draw the background. Two sheets of paper so far. Probably have to add four more though they won't be full sized sheets.

That's all for now. I think I'll go practice my bass now. I love this. Right now all my powers are well rounded and I'm enjoying reaping from all my talents. That rarely happens.

EDIT: Ugh, my fingers are on fire. Hehe, they hurt and are really hot, but it was worth it. I got further along on the kalmah song.

The Truncata looks cool! It looks small in that photo lol!
Great work on the picture, I love the dynamic pose of Owen and poor Cope who's just been thrown down like that.

It is small comparitively. The pitcher is about 4 inches tall. The full sized ones can get to 14 inches so that's what I'm hoping this one will do.
Thanks. I'm very happy with the action in this so far. Yes, poor Cope. Owen's such a jerk.

Every time I see the Nepenthes pictures you put up, I wish I could touch one.

Now can the police come and arrest Owen for assault and take him to jail?

They all feel different. This one's kind of rough, and the ventratas are smooth like a deflated balloon.

Hehe, if only. They're both working for Thanatos Industries. Everything that happens there is kept within the company.

That's an awesome drawing you have done! That's cool how all your powers are well rounded at the moment.

That looks like a very nice plant and if it gets as big as it's supposed to, it will be awesome!

Thank you. I'm happy with how it's turning out so far. Yes it's rare when I'm doing a little bit of everything. When I don't have it and I try it's like I've never done it in my life.

Thanks. It's very cute. I'm hoping it will turn out really neat.

Nice work on the drawing. Your new plant looks great, too. I like the pitcher on it.

Thanks. It will look better with a background.
I'm very happy with this little plant.
