Nepenthes obsessing
So I haven't been on much. I've been neglecting stuff, but all for good reasons. I'm having a good time and am just totally obsessed with Nepenthes. I've been buying seeds and hopefully soon will also be getting my first real plants. I've also been buying seeds of pipevines or Aristolochia. They are difficult to sprout and I've been soaking them for almost 24 hours in hot water then planting them in pots. I placed an order with Pet Flytrap which is a website that sells Nepenthes. I ordered some on Pre-order so that means it will take a long time before I get my plant. I'm always nervous when dealing with new companies and so far I'm not impressed with the fact that I've sent them two Emails asking questions about creating an account and gotten no response. They have a great selection of stuff but so far lousy communication. I'm tempted to get on the phone and yell at them. Well not literally but definitely get on their case.

And it sucks that LJ is having all these hacker problems. I can't get on except in the afternoon so that's another reason I haven't been on much. So I've mostly been hanging out on youtube. The link for the updates on the attacks are on lj_maintenance. Hackers seem to be out in full force. If you guys get emails from "United Parcel Service" Basically fake UPS or Fed Ex saying something about your tracking and it has an attachment don't open it. Delete it. That's very cleaver. I'm proud that I've never been had by an email scam and though I get lots of things in the mail I know the delivery companies never send you a tracking email with an attachment. And PlayStation Network is also under attack. Chris and I have both been playing and we can't go online. Some parts of the game require you to go online to update your account even if you don't interact with anyone. Seems PS3 is much harder to hack than Xbox so the hackers really want to crack into it and have been going hard at it.

For those of you that watch my Youtubes, yes more than one account, you know I just made a garden update about my gourd arbor. I finally replaced the flimsy 1x2's with 2x4's. Now they are ready for the weight of giant gourds. My long luffa looks like it will be the first plant with tendrils to go up the arbor. It's not tall enough yet to hook on but it does have its first tenderil so I'm thrilled. I think this will finally be my year for gourds.

Well I'm behind by four drawings now that it's April and it's a short month. Man I just suck when it comes to keeping an art schedule. I'm a bit annoyed with myself, but I just can't do it if I don't feel like it. The one of Solan driving is almost done. I just have to shade it and color the lines. I also haven't practiced any music since I visited Earthmother so I need to do that too since I think about it alot as well. Perhaps tomorrow I can do both. May-be. Ok back to Nepenthes obsessing.

Ergh the attacks are annoying. I wish these smart hackers would use their powers for good! Like tracking down internet criminals or something.

I never get updates when people upload videos on YT half the time. And when I do, its like, THREE days AFTER the video's gone up. I set my stupid Google email to forward emails to my main address so I don't have to keep going to Google to see update emails. I hate that they forced me to change my log in details.

I miss our Nepenthes, we used to have some in the tank in the living room and they always fascinated me as a kid.

Yeah they really need to put their powers to good use not stupid things.

I don't bother with emails on youtube like I don't here. I just have to go there and physically check everyday like I do with my responses here. It's very easy. Just got to your main page and click on you name. A drop down box will appear and then you click "Subscriptions". You'll see the last 100 recent videos that were posted and you can catch up on the first few or so. That's what I'm doing now. It's like checking your watch on DA.

Oh, I hope you can get some again. They do great in hanging baskets. They are really fascinating. I can't wait to get some of mine in.

Thanks for the tip, I'll have a go at seeing the new uploads that way!

Yes we used to have ours in hanging baskets.

Having trouble commenting on some people's posts tonight.

I think you'll just have to run with whatever is motivating/fascinating you at the moment. Right now it is spring, so full tilt time in the garden. When it's summer and you want to shelter inside, you art and music will blossom :)

How annoying. Yesterday we weren't able to upload new icons or make posts behind a cut. They finally fixed that thank goodness as I had to make an update to my icon community.

Yeah, I know. I'm looking forward to that. But I set a goal of at least 12 finished drawings a year and I need to have those done by Oct so I can print a calendar again. I haven't made a calendar in years because I've been such a procrastinator. I wish I could produce three full drawings a day like some people do. It's not for lack of ideas.

I haven't gotten any scam emails. I really don't understand why people have to scam or hack people. It's an annoying pain in the butt.

I need to plant my ghost peppers too.

I liked all the Nepenthes pictures on your last INTJ video. For some reason some of the ones on there reminded me of cartoon saxophones.

Glad you haven't gotten any. I'm glad I've always been too smart for them, though some are so stupid I don't know whow people fall for it.

Yeah that would be neat to see it grow. My tomatoes finally sprouted.

Thanks. I'm glad. I picked out my favorite species for that video.
