Vacation Photo dump Day 1 Part 2
Just had a meat pizza for breakfast and I think I'm finally feeling better. Almost normal. I can't believe how much this trip took out of me. Ok so here's the second part of day one still.

This was the Nickelodeon hotel from the outside. I would have liked to have gone in but we were too tired. But Squidward was featured there so I had to get a pic. This is definitely new and I must say it is rather odd to see Nickeloden in Orlando which is basically the domain of Disney.

A Hilton Hotel. What I found interesting about this was the white bars look like they cut through some of the windows. I guess the guests there get half the view.

This is the first thing I noticed when I walked into the Walgreens there. Lots of cute mylar Valentine's ballons. This store was so festive more so than our local ones.

The big difference was all the Disney stuff everywhere. I had to get a pic of that because it's not like this anywhere else.

The soap section. No bubblebath.

I love Walgreens.

I liked this Longhorn bull statue that was just outside the Walgreens.

On our way to Epcot I noticed this sign. I thought it was funny how it said "Wrong way" but the cars were still going through. Even a big bus. It's actually for the other side but from this perspective it looks really funny.

The Epcot ball for Spaceship Earth. The sun was setting and I love the beautiful colors it takes on as it gets darker. Then we headed off to The Land.

I love this. These are Casabananas, Winter Melons and Pumpkins. If I owned a giant dome like this I could finally grow pumpkins in Florida.

The bleeding strawberry. Of all the strawberries there, this one really caught my attention first.

The Luffas growing.

Casabananas are the small ones and big winter melons in the background.

I liked this waterfall. Kinda looks like ours.

Getting ready to take a boat across the lake. Here you see Italy and America.

This was a very cool space shuttle model at Japan.

The scale and the detail were really amazing.

I wanted this Lincoln statue they had at the American Experience store.

The American Experience is a beautiful building.

This picture was so hard to get and it's still not very clear. I tried all kinds of settings but it's hard taking night pictures. I hate when it looks perfect in the screen but when you snap it it changes everything. WHY? Don't do that! Anyway, Epcot ball seen from Japan.

Epcot ball.

Epcot ball with musical fountain. They were playing cool classical music and the water would come up in time with the notes.

Lastly. The Ball and the moon. It's too bad I was too pooped to stay for the fireworks. But everything we did was very nice.

Haha! The "wrong way" picture is very funny from that perspective. Seems to prove that you don't need to be able to read to drive. :D

I love the way the Epcot ball lights up. I'll definitely have to spend more time at that part of Disney if I ever manage to go back.

I like that kind of irony in picutres. It was neat to find one of my own.

Yes it looks better at night than in the day. Back in the 80s it was lit up pink and blue which I think is better than the pink and orange they have now. There was a time when they put green lasers on it and made the world spin on it. That was cool.

That reminds me, Walgreens and CVS will probably put their Valentine candy on sale today. I need to buy some to donate to CRC's volunteer room.

Epcot was my favorite when we went to Disney when I was in high school, but I only got to go to Epcot and MGM. I didn't get to go to Magic Kingdom, but I wanted to at least see the castle since that was when it was decorated up like a pink cake. I'd love to go back to Epcot though.

Oh yeah. But this year there wasn't really any Valentine's candy I had to have.

I just think Epcot is the best over all. Oh gosh I remember that pink castle now. It was terrible. I was worried it was a permanent change. So glad it wasn't but it was that way for far too long. I think they've renamed MGM to Hollywood Studios which doesn't make any sense and I don't know when this happened.

I don't need any either, but I'm not getting it for me.

We went to those two parks because we could ride the boat to them from the Swan, and the day we went to Epcot was the day it opened early for people staying on the property who had advance tickets like we did. To get to Magic Kingdom we would have had to take a shuttle bus, and also we went during a certain week in June when deviants gather at Magic Kingdom, so I'm kind of glad we didn't go.

Nice photos. I love that Epcot ball, it's so pretty somehow. And yeah I hear you, I find it annoying as well when photos come out blurry when on the screen it looks fine. I went to a Walgreens in TN, I love stores that sell everything like that.

Thanks. Yeah I love that ball too. Yeah, the way it looks on the screan is how it should look when you take the pic. Walgreens and CVS are great. I'm glad you got to go to one after all. What's nice is that every town has several and they are 24/7 so if you need something in a hurry at a weird hour you can always get it.

Yeah, that Walgreens is much more festive than ours, too.

Loved the pic of the Epcot ball under the sunset--such pretty oranges and golds there. I also loved the purples and pinks and golds it had in the night pictures, plus the way the fountain looks with that fiery-colored light coming up through it. Nice colors in the sky and water in the lake pic, too.

Thanks. I'm glad some of these turned out nice.

I loved that growing place. How cool.

Your photos of the Epcot ball. Yeah, I hate how some photos look fine on the screen but turn out to be blurry. You did capture some great ones, though. I love the fountain, too.

That's always been my favorite thing about Epcot ever since I was a kid. It's called The Land and the boat ride through the green house is always cool.

Yeah, why doesn't it just take it the way it looks on the screen? Very annoying.
