Gaming and playing
Didn't get around to making a post last night because I was so busy bassing that it was bedtime when I finished. We took down most of the Christmas decorations yesterday. That was a bit sad and the house looks plain and boring now. There's nothing to decorate for until Easter. I still have to take down the window clings and that's it. But I'm very glad that the way I decorate is actually quite easy. There's not a lot of work involved putting things away since I don't put out a lot of things but just enough to make it obviously festive. Oh and the star balls need to come down. Chris will have to get those for me though.

I've been spending a lot of time on youtube. So much so that I had a dream last night I found this awesome channel of someone that had a bunch of budgies, cockatiels and finches. They were active so I subscribed. I loved their channel colors too as they were a mix of light blue, pink and white. Hehe, it seemed so real. Of course there was no name. My mind just made it up and I was scrolling looking at all the thumbnails.

Today is the last day of double experience week for Read Dead Redemption. I'm level 34 right now. I'll do my best to play as much as possible. I would like to pass into legend again for level 50. I get the bull back at 40 this time. I already have the best horse in the game again. I'm curious what the buffalo looks like. But even with getting four thousand points each fort it's getting so monotonous doing it over and over again. Once in the mid 30's and 40's it's super slow leveling. Sucks. Since they seem to do double experience on holidays there probably won't be one until Valentine's or Easter. Oh man. I don't think I want to play without the double experience. I'm spoiled now.

Chris and I are working on an Andean song called Gurrero Inka. It means Warrior Inca. To hear the original you can watch it on my pigeon video HERE. We're making it into a metal piece and gosh it rocks. But we're having a hard time figuring out my bass line. After we worked on that for a while I just started playing my part to Breaking the Law and Chris joined in. Oh my gosh, that was so awesome! It was so much fun to play with him on a metal song. Since we haven't figured out the Inca song it's still work and frustrating at this point. We felt pumped after that. I definitely want to do that again. I love playing along with his electrical. I haven't had this feeling since I was in ensemble. After that I was listening to the theme song from the game Bully and was trying to figure it out as it's basically all for bass guitar. It's actually a very hard song and Chris had to show me some techniques that are new and hard for me. I'll work at it but this is going to take me a while to learn. Here's the song. I did tab most of it though. Though I don't like reading tabs I find it easier to write them than to write sheet music. I'd rather read real music but for writing I find tabs easier. So most of my time last night was spent trying to figure it out. The song got stuck in our heads. I always try to not practice too much when Chris is around because he doesn't like hearing the same song over and over. It's one of our few diffrences. I'm the one that can hit infinite loop on a song I like and leave it on for an hour or so. We had this discussion years ago when I didn't know this. He understands about practice though as he was a teacher. But since I care about him I always keep it in the back of my mind when it comes to me playing either my insturment or mp3s on the computer.

So on the 9th I'll have had my guitar for two months. I'm very proud of myself with how far I've come in such a short time.

Yeah! It was a thrill to jam Breaking The Law with you. I would say we are about 30% done with the Inca piece. it will be awesome when we get it right.

Wow! only 2 months and you are already tackling some tough stuff! I'm proud of you.

I am glad I could help you with Red Dead' leveling, but I am getting pretty sick of Pike's Basin. lol

Yes, we'll have to do that again soon. Agreed, It will be very rocking once we figure it all out.

I know it only seems like one month for some reason. Thanks.

Yes, me too. I'm sick of Pike's Basin and all those forts hehe.

I'm always sad when the decorations are taken down. We still have to take ours down but then we didn't put them up that early so I guess we keep them up a bit later or something. We need to get the boxes for them down from the attic.

I'd love to hear Chris and you play together one day!

Yeah, it's sad to see them go. Now things are just normal.

I do plan to put a video up of us playing. He's an awesome guitarist.

Ha, ha, I got lost on You Tube watching your videos! They were very good, too.

That's cool that you are learning the bass for the theme song for Bully. It reminds me of La Femme D'Agent by Air. It is a very varied piece, and I can hear the different techniques in it. Good on you for tackling that!

Thanks. Youtube is a lot of fun.
Hum, I've never heard that one. Yeah Bully will be hard for me to learn.

Lucky you've got a good teacher!
