ENFJ Personality Type
ENFJ - Extrovereted iNtuitive Feeling Judging
Archtypes: The Giver, Mentor, The Sage, The Teacher
Secondary Functions Fe, Ni, Se, Ti

For ENFJs, maintaining harmony in relationships is an important goal and a natural skill. They are warm, compassionate, and friendly people who are tuned into other's needs and good at helping others solve problems in creative ways. Articulate and enthusiastic, ENFJs are good public speakers who are good at making personal connections, one-on-one or in a group. ENFJs are tactful and diplomatic and pride themselves on making others feel good. They tend to be overly sensitive and take things personally, so they have difficulty in making logic-based decisions. ENFJs also usually idealize relationships and end up being let down. They have a high energy level that is increased by social involvement. ENFJs like to have plans and can work with others to realize their goals. Global issues are a big concern for ENFJs.
Always in a hurry to make decisions, ENFJs can be inflexible and incapable of acting spontaneously. ENFJs are energetic, friendly, talkative, and articulate, with the best communication skills of all the types. They are comfortable in all social situations and are able to instantly respond to the emotional climate of any group. ENFJs are extremely sensitive to criticism and may withdraw from a group instead of showing hurt feelings. They try to avoid confrontation, but are quick to apologize for their mistakes and forgive others their's.
ENFJs are very conscious of their appearance and how others judge them. They dress appropriately for all situations and are well coordinated. ENFJs make good teachers and are attracted to all 'helping' careers. They can also be good writers or editors. ENFJs have difficulty saying 'no', and often confuse other's thoughts and feelings with their own. Their goal is to change people, not the world.

Sounds like another person who I wouldn't want to be a "project" of.

Yeah definitely. I only know one ENFJ and she's a good friend of mine. Definitely a busy body.

In some ways this is like me. I can take things personally, but I am not that energetic and I am not that rigid. And most of the time I don't care how I dress - as long as I am comfortable. I think I'm a bit like you, Des, in that respect. I do have a problem saying 'No' to people. So maybe thank goodness I am not totally like this?

I posted ENFP a while back which is the type that you got. You should read that one. Since you only have one letter difference the J then yes you'll have a lot in common with an ENFJ. I'm not surprised. I think N types are less preoccupied with protocol and dressing right as the S types are. And NT's just don't care. We're really oblivious to that. Though I think ENT's pay more attention to fashion than INT's.

I went back and read the ENFP. I'm still a little confused. I thought I was an EIFP. So, what does N stand for? I was going to ask you this a while back. I guess I should have asked you before this!

When I took the Myers-Briggs test (sp) I couldn't answer the questions properly and didn't get a very good (as in true-to-type) result. At least, what I think I'm like! It's hard to get to know yourself because you can't see the woods for the trees, so to speak.

Hehe, I don't think I want to e exactly like Superman!

I think the ENFP type does fit me, but not exactly. *Surprised* I'll go back there now and see how I am the same as and different from the characteristics you listed there.

The N stands for iNtuition. The "I" is already being used for "introvert" so you can't have two I's. It would be confusing. ENFP is Extroverted, iNtuitive, Feeling, Percieving.

You should take the test again. The fact you told me you didn't even answer half the questions told me to not even bother to look at what you got as it was completely wrong. I don't think it's hard to get to know one's self at all. It just takes some introspection. It also has to do with accepting who you are and acting like youself not as others expect of you. But the fact that you picked out the points based on reading the differences on the types is good, and I agree with what you got as ENFP. Because P is open ended it will cause second guessing but after you did that on your own I'm quite sure of your answer.

Not EXACTLY like superman but I do see the similarities between you and him.

Don't be surprised. Not all ENFP's (or any of the types for that matter) are exactly the same. I have no doubt I'm INTJ but some of the descriptions I read I will sometimes say, "But not that." I think the "Not that" has to do with how strong each of our points are. They are based on percentages. My I is 100% so I'm very unwavering when it comes to how introverted I am. My T is also in the high 90's to 100. Even though I have strong feelings I nearly always make my decisions based on cold logic. People crying and begging around me do not sway me. That's Batman. My weakest point is actually my N. I think I'm around 60%. Still definitely intuitive and I tend to scare people with how I can know so much about them just by the way the speak and act. That's intuition. But because of that it's not hard for me to occassionally slip to the S side without knowing it. Hence why I "try" to do things By The Book. And probably why I'm also more in tune with my senses than most INTJ's. So I think the tests are only good to know just how strong your points are, but you can intuitively figure that out too in time.

I made a meme once and got ENFJ, I think it fits to me although I really don't care my appearance especially XD I always wear what I like. It just has to be comfortable.
