The Final Countdown
Well, I did it. I made a new youtube account under the name "thagirion3" and have finally recorded myself playing The Final Countdown. I wonder what kind of crowd this channel will attract since it's so different from my main one? I'm quite proud of myself. I only made two mistakes. The worst one being during the solo. For only having been playing the bass for what...three weeks now I think that's pretty darn good especially with the length of the song, its speed and the techniques used in it. So check this out. Please do respond. Metal Christmas everyone!

EDIT: Haha, my question is already answered and is kind of funny. My first "friend" there is a Russian guy named Sunfish737 who plays accordion and sings in Russian. I actually really like Russian music so I friended him back. Haha, it's awesome. He's got thousands of friends so I'm sure it doesn't mean anything other than he went through the recent music category and added me. The first song I listened to he's got featured and is called Cossack's Song. Thought you'd get a kick out of that, Cheezey.

I like it, I didn't really notice the mistakes that much. I think you did great!

Thanks. Good, I'm glad. It's annoying because I do know how to play ALL the parts so I shouldn't have mesed up at all. But I'm still rather proud of it.

Cool video. That sounds like a fun song to play.

Cossack's Song, huh? Yup, that did make me grin. It's interesting who friends people on sites like that.

Yes it is. A lot of songs the base line is just two notes over and over which is boring for me. This part is as important as the guitar's. Have you heard the original song? If not look it up. It's by Europe and very cool. I don't know how I missed out on this in the 80's and I only found out about it a few years ago after playing Saint's Row 2.

Yeah, you can tell facbook it is a real name I suppose. Yeah, I hadn't expected someone like that to friend me.

Oh yeah! I know the song real well and have it on my MP3 list. It has a fun beat so I can see why you enjoyed playing it.

Thank you. :D Hehe, glad to help get it stuck. Yes, the song is by Europe. Check it out. It's one of the coolest songs. Thanks, I'm naturally curly. I almost always wear a pony tail but decided to let my hair down for this video to make it more metal looking.

That's a fun-sounding bassline there, nice and high-energy. Kinda brings to mind thoughts of riding some kind of beast into battle.

Yes, I like how much there is to do on it and how often it changes. I can see how you'd think that.

Metal Christmas to you, too! You had my feet tapping. Well done!

I think you have made an interesting new friend :)

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it.
Yes, I've always liked Russian folk music even if I can't understand anything.
