The Budgie Song!
Finally I get to show you guys what I've been working on with my bass. I recorded the budgie song and put it up. I also recorded another song but last time I put up more than one video no one watched them. So here it is. Please watch and comment.

It sound pretty simplistic, but it's not so easy with the timing once you play it. Here is the original video so you can hear the song and see the cute budgies. I'll put up Anyway You Want It next. And I'm very proud of myself that I've gotten through all of the sheet music for The Final Countdown. It's funny that that's the longest song with the most notes. Technically it's the hardest I'm learning but it's the one I can play best. I didn't make too many mistakes on the budgie song, but I was nervous. I can play all the parts, I guess just not all together just yet. Don't worry my videos will get better.

What the? Why isn't the bottom blue? I chose it to be blue. And I hate they got rid of the color borders.

It turns that nice blue when I push play, but yeah, once the video ends it turns back to white for me. It is a shame that it can't seem to just stay blue all the time. I swear I remember a time when an embedded video's border would just stay the color that one picked for it whether it was playing or not.

I just pushed play again to see if it still turned blue when I did and noticed that if I moved the cursor onto the video, the border would turn white again, and then go back to blue a couple of seconds after I moved the cursor off of it. Weird. I don't know what YouTube was thinking when they made it that way.

But anyway, on to the actual video content itself. It's cool to hear that awesome instrument in action at last. And that song's catchy. I especially like the sort of bouncy bit like at 1:02.

You know my older posts still display the old videos with the borders correctly. Like this one.
I wonder if I can copy that code but just change the url of the video location and perhaps I can force the borders and style to come back. That would be nice. The took away the top and side border then only left the colored bottom. My next post under videos from that one was like that. And now they've just totally made it ugly.

Thanks. I'm glad you liked it. It's kind of a silly song for my first one. I'll definitely post better stuff from here out.

EDIT: Look, I fixed the border. I rock!

Nice work! It's a catchy song too.
The border shows blue for me but only when its playing.

Thanks. I always loved it when I saw the budgie video. I knew it would be something fun to play.
That's annoying. I see my older posts still have the nice borders.

Since the borders are still there on the older posts, it might be possible to find the HTML that controls the border and put it on the new ones, in a similar way to how we changed the HTML for linking to the dragons?

Yeah I'm so glad. I'm working on a post right now with the codes so people can just copy and paste. I have all the colors except that grey/blue one. They are for a wide of 500 so hopfully that's not too small. I do have one I posted for wide screen but it's only in blue. I need to figure out how to make textboxes now like the one I'm tying in so it won't take away the html.

Good thinking, those will be useful for the future.

Nice to see your guitar in action. It's very cool. I did see you pick up the guitar, then pause a bit, to take up its weight, though :)

Nice bass playing. Love the low sound of the beast :) Love your multicoloured fingernails, too :)

Yeah, I've been talking about it so much I'm sure everyone wanted to hear it. Yeah, I hadn't thought of it that way but I always adjust it everytime until I'm comfortable. I need to get a better strap and use it while sitting too because the main problem is the neck likes to take a dive and I can't keep it up. Then I have to reach further.

Thanks. He has a very nice sound. I love my guitar. Hehe, I repainted them just so they'd look nice on the video. I'm glad you noticed.

That's a cute song. I'm glad you're enjoying playing your bass so much. It sounds great.

Thanks. I think you'll like it more once I start playing the 80's stuff. It's amazing how in all these familiar songs you don't really notice the bass.
