BC Rich Revenge Warlock!
I drove my car today! It was wonderful except for one major flaw. I've lost my stereo. I can't make long drives without music. This is terrible and it's my own fault. It's SOMEWHERE in the house. I need to find the face plate and the ten disk magazine case. I remember I put them away so they wouldn't get dusty but I can't rember where I put them. So I don't even have radio which I hate to listen to. But there's an 80's station so I can put up with it until commercials start. But I've got nothing. But my drive was very nice. No shaking when I hit 45. Not that I did much with the traffic. I'm so thankful I'm heat tolerant with only one window working and no freeon in the AC.

But I went to the music store and I put a down payment on the soon to be mine BC Rich Revenge Warlock.

That's my baby! I know most guitars are females just like cars and boats. But not mine. I'm drawn to the masculine ones. My car's a male named Black Sunshine. This brutal creature is a male too and I will eventually name him. Well Warlocks are male anyway. My gosh, I got to hold him today. He's nearly as tall as I am. A few more pics behind the cut and I'll go in the story.

Love their sig.

The back.

The damage. Hehe, I find it funny he had it listed on EBay as "damage". See that brown line? That's nothing. I don't consider that damaged. Black nail polish would fix it right up. But I'm not even going to bother. It gives it character.

But yeah this thing is huge. I'm sure I'll learn to handle it though. What's funny is that I'd been talking to the owner since he knew Chris and they've worked together before. Also we've been in his store before. That's how I knew where it was. Well, when he brought it out it was in this huge coffine shaped box. Then he pulls it out and hands it to me. I start fingering it and put it in my lap. He looks at me puzzled when I say, "I'll take it." "Isn't Chris going to try it out?" He said. "No, it's for me." I responded knowing where this was going. Both him and his secretary kind of jumped back. Remember the post a while back where I mentioned I'm externally light with internal darkness? I always forget because I know what's inside me. But I don't look the part. I was wearing a bring green shirt, pony tail with a tourquise scrunchy, pink flipflops and came in all cheery and cute. Not to mention I'm a little girl...well little woman actually, but since I look 10-12 years younger people think I'm a girl still. Next time I'll tell you guys the story of the guy that thought I was a little girl. I think he thought Chris was my dad haha. So I told him, "No it's for me." and him and his secretary kind of jumped back simultaneously but didn't say anything. I know what they were thinking though. So to drive the point home I go, "Chris already has his own guitar. This is mine and I want to bck him up. I want to play metal and 80's." He got back into business mode and he goes, "Well that's definitely the guitar for it.

So the price on this is awesome!! Only $250. I put down 100. He only wanted 10% but I told him I wanted to put down more. They put me on a six month payment plan for $25 each month. But I'm going to try to pay more and sooner. I can't wait six months to get my guitar and I can make more than $25 a month. I think I can cut that in half and get it in three months...though that's still too long for my taste. Of course I want it right now. We'll see how the savings will go and perhaps I can get it a lot sooner. Oh and I already have a soft case for it! I actually bought a bass case because I used to put my demon sword in it when I would take it with me to the museum. It's a big sword about as big as a bass and it always fit perfectly in my case. HAHa, my darkness in light again. I would scare the crap out of my fellow emplyees because I'd walk with it on my shoulder and they'd say, "Oh you have a guitar." "No." I'd say and unzip it. "My sword" and pull it out. Now, funny I can now use the case for what it's meant for. But I have a feeling it won't fit in this case and eventually I'll get a hard case for it. Yikes, but I might not be able to carry it in a hard case. BC rich actually sells a coffin shaped case hee hee.

What's funny is what I REALLY want is a BC Rich Beast guitar in solid black. It's the one Davon is holding in my Four Bad Boys Band drawing. Click it for full size. I saw that beauty in a guitar store one day. Back when guitars didn't mean anything to me. I was still playing violin. But I saw that and wanted it so bad! But Beasts are rarer and lots more expensive. One day I'll have one. I'm also thinking about how to customize it. I'd love to have my own art airbrushed onto it. Thagirion of course and I'd have to make a whole new drawing of him. But not sure what pose and where. Because of the V cut away I actually have less room for a full sized drawing as opposed to round bottom guitars which I don't care for.

So I've been listening to Anyway You Want It over and over on youtube because there's a bass and a drum cover. I'm actually quite impressed with the drum cover. Drums were my first choice but I can't do that. Wish I could. Even if I had the money I don't have the room. And they'd be huge too since I'd want double bass for metal. Anyway here's the bass cover

And the drum cover. That drum cover is pretty amazing.

It's been an awesomely triumphant day on so many levels.
EDIT: Oh yes, the other day I got the Goose video in the mail from England. YES! Now I need to send it to that guy to transfer it to DVD. I'm so glad I didn't spend what they wanted it. All that money's better spent on my guitar.

Oh, wow, I LOVE your guitar!!! Very different for mine, hee, hee :) I think it would be awesome in a coffin case *tempt, tempt*.

Playing drums is darned hard. I don't have the co-ordination for it. I prefer melody, anyway.

Roland electronic drum kits are awesome, aren't they? I didn't like the cymbal sound, though. (I live with a drummer who has the most delectable cymbals, but they are for jazz).

Hopefully you will get your bass sooner rather than later. That's awesome you have your car on the road, though!

PS That's great that Snow Goose turned up and it's awesome that you could spend your money on your guitar instead :) Hopefully you will get it transferred to DVD soon.

Hehe, yeah that would be nice. Here's what they look like.

Too bad I can't buy directly from the manufacturer. It would be hard to find one. I'll have to ask if this store can order some or even the regular square ones.

I think guitars get the melody while bass is harmony. I can't sing one bit but if I were in a metal band I'd be back up vocals. When I listen to songs I tend to whisper along with the back ups. It's that whole part of the group instead of exposed as a solo. Hum, I don't know but of all the drum covers of that song I thought this guy had the best sound and the best skill.

Yeah, I've been working out the math and I think I can have it in three weeks. That's better than three months which would have just killed me. Usually I'm patient but I want it now.

Yes, so many rare things finally turning up. But I'll have to wait until this guitar business is over so I can save up again.
kabuldurkabuldur on November 5th, 2010 10:25 am (UTC)
That's great that you will have it is three weeks instead of three months! (Hopefully).

Bass guitar usually reinforces the guitar; sometimes it is in harmony.

I too, like singing harmonies. I have been in a few choirs, and usually sing alto. I have been in an informal quartet. Now that really was fun. I really enjoy singing, it makes me feel happy. I haven't done it for a while.

The coffin case looks awesome!
Desthagirion on November 5th, 2010 01:54 pm (UTC)
That's cool you were in a choir. I can't sing, but I do when no one is around.

I found out the music store does have them because I saw their website! The prices aren't bad so yeah I'll probably get one then but not for a good while. I think the next big thing I'll save up for is one of those fancy Intuos tablets I saw at the electronics store.

That's a nice looking guitar! Both my guitars are males. El Diablo and Adi. Adi is the one that retails at £1000 but we got it cheaper since it had a couple of scrapes on. Our car is male too and my Aunt's car is male. I hate the whole female vehicle stereotype but then its mostly men who have them I guess and they want female things.

I know how it feels to look younger as well. That's amusing they were so surprised lol!

Thanks. It's very exciting. I hope I'll be good at it. I find it funny how quickly guitars depreciate. Just for a few tiny non-noticable scratches. All the better for us then. Now if only I could find a lightly "damaged" Beast I'd be very happy.

Yes, I first noticed it with boats and thought it was stupid when someone said all boats are girls. WTF?

Yeah, though this time I think it was more of the fact that guitar looks too evil and big for me. The big I can understand but I always forget that I don't look like a metal head.
sike_saner on November 4th, 2010 05:00 pm (UTC)
Oh wow. That is one gorgeous instrument right there. And heh, it's funny and awesome that you were able to get it at a reduced price for such a negligible little amount of damage.
Des: Exploding Whalethagirion on November 4th, 2010 05:34 pm (UTC)
Thanks. I'm looking forward to bringing it home. Yeah I know. It's such a minor flaw really. But it really worked in my favor.
earthmother45earthmother45 on November 4th, 2010 06:01 pm (UTC)
That's a beautiful guitar. I LOVE the shape of it. I can visualize it in a mosaic. I copied the picture of it to my "future art projects" file. Hope you don't mind.

Journey is my absolute favorite band. I think I have every one of their albums, songs, cds, etc. I love "anyway you want it," and after listening to the play along, now it's going to be playing in my head for days. But that's okay . . . can't think of anything nicer.
Des: Thank Youthagirion on November 4th, 2010 10:59 pm (UTC)
Thank you. I love how aggressive and metal B.C. Rich guitars are. I don't mind at all. It would be cool to see you make something inspired by my guitar. When I come over I'll bring it...provided I have it.

They're a great 80's band for sure. Hehe, well it's a good one to have in your head then. Still have to make those CD's for you. I haven't forgotten.

Nice Bass. My dad used to play bass. He had at least four basses, of which my favorite was the blue fretless 5 string. He had a hobby of buying old instruments on Ebay and fixing them up and donating them to our church at the time's sister church in Venezuela. He sent them a very nice drum set with a double bass once that would have cost a fortune new. My brothers enjoyed playing it while it was set up in our living room.

I still pass as a college student too. People think my brothers are older than me when they are actually both younger. I got carded at the mall once last year because they thought I was a teenager. That mall requires people under a a certain age (18?) to be accompanied by an adult, because of vandalism issues.

Thanks. That's cool your dad can fix instruments. I'd love a kit with double bass drums. That's very cool.

Hehe, you have the gift of youngness too then.
actipton80actipton80 on November 5th, 2010 12:58 pm (UTC)
Basically, the fixes usually included new strings for guitars, polish jobs, new drum heads, and replacing missing parts. Things like that.
matanaimatanai on November 5th, 2010 01:28 am (UTC)
I forgot to comment on this but that is one BADASS guitar!

Thank you. I'm impatiently awaiting the day I can bring it home.
